Food can still be 'freshly' fried, or 'freshly' made. Probably means its to be eaten right away so that they don't use preservatives and stuff....but still...

The meats and cheeses are processed, so they're not "fresh". But on a whole, Subway is probably a lot better for you than MOST fast food places.
