Dunno how many old school graphic adventure gamers there are (Gabriel Knight, King's Quest, Monkey Island, etc.), but I thought I would bring up a topic for it since I have been on an adventure gaming kick for the past couple weeks. I recently got Gemini Rue and Gray Matter, both of which are fantastic games. I have been completely enthralled with their stories. What's everyone's favorites?

My personal fave: Gabriel Knight. It's one of my favorite adventure games ever made. I keep praying for a fourth game in the series.

Hahah, you should specify that "Point and Click adventure game" as "Adventure game" is extremely broad.

I never beat Gabriel Knight 3 but 1-2 were great.

Though I think my favorite is Quest for Glory 4. I loved Quest for Glory games because it combined like... every genre. It was a great Point and Click adventure, but still had very strong RPG elements and amusing characters. Over all GK's stories and writing were far superior, but QFG games just had more to offer as a whole.

Day of the Tentacle is somewhere amongst my top as well. Although a lot more simple than Maniac Mansion was, the comedy in the game was just great and they played on a lot of liberties you don't find in games any more.
