Woohoo! *high fives* XD

I really wish that I could actually make it myself to the gathering earlier that day, but I will be selling at my table in Artist Alley. It's a good kind of busy, but still I am really hoping most of the cosplayers from the gathering can make it to the event. I would love to see everyone's outfits and have lots of fun with everyone of course!

Yay, glad to hear you are on board and don't worry if you aren't a specific character. We actually have a good amount of character actors/spotters already and what we really need are more undead to train. :)

Kricket Costumes is putting together some really handy blood prep tutorials for everyone who wants more details on arms, legs, etc. We will have a lot of undead to prep in a small time window so the event crew will be only focused on the neck up. ;D

Makeup prep will begin promptly at 6pm and we will be doing nonstop Training of the Dead and practice as people are done being prepped. I am planning on ducking out of Artist Alley that day a bit early to get everything ready, so as long as you try to come as close to 6pm as possible that should be fine. The more time you have to train and practice the better. ^_~

Thanks so much to all of our RSVP members of Anime Con of the Dead who made it to the event! It was a fantastic turnout (71 people in the makeup line) for our first run.  ;D

To find the public gallery of ACOTD images and videos as they are uploaded (anyone is welcome to contribute their footage here as well), please check this link:

Also, in my first VLOG I mention Anime Con of the Dead quite a bit here:

I had a great time at FanimeCon 2011 and thanks again to everyone who helped make our event a reality!

I noticed that rovers were yelling at people not to fall down once they got into the concourse way.  Other than that and the delay, did anything else come up that can be tweaked for next year?

I think not having everyone come out at the same time/point would be helpful. I liked the idea, but when so many people came out on the Hilton side I was stuck against the wall trying not to get in people photos or push anyone over.

I thought we had split them up into pretty even groups. There must have been more con-goers on the hilton side to begin with? I was also told that they were trying to break up a rather large gathering at Stage Zero which caused the majority of the fuss when we hit them from both sides. I had a ton of fun though, and I was thankful to see more smiles than frowns. :) I do wonder where half of the videos/photos went though... *impatient*

As weirderraindrop mentioned, there were two different groups for the invasion. We had a total of roughly 30 or so dead per group. :)

One thing I would definitely like to change if this becomes a traveling show is having two prep rooms; one dedicated to makeup, and one dedicated to training/practice. The single room didn't work out as well, but it was a great start that is for sure.
