Wait, someone got a friday? 0.0 My e-mail said that the event was switched to Sunday only, and that was the only day that was available (And then I had to say no, because I'm in the masquerade) Now I'm lost... people got friday times?

How long does it take to get a response back after sending in the entry form?

Sorry about the confusion! Like princsskitty18 said, saturday people were just switched to sunday. I stated in the forum post that the events would be going on during friday and sunday instead of friday and saturday.

Also, in regards to asking for a specific day, there was confusion about that. The instructions were written on the forums about switching days, but the website information was outdated. I will make it more clear next year. I apologize for that. Next year will run more smoothy :)

Knightfire

Still no response. Is the above poster incharge of the event?

I'd just like to put in my two cents on group registration. I don't see the reason behind forbidding it, since in principle it's just more efficient, especially if you state very clearly the # of people of each gender in the subject line.

More personally, shortly after the Speed Dating sign-ups opened, my friends and I were in a room together and pooled together our info in one email and sent. We never received a reply saying that our email didn't count, and the website at the time didn't say group emails weren't allowed either. I went on a hiking trip and after returning have found that our only option is apparently to individually register for the wait list.

Rules are supposed to be applied to all future applicants, not created spontaneously and applied to guests who've already registered. Just saying.

Roguemagus

I think group registration was discouraged because of the high application rate to the event. If you have one large group that signs up for speed dating, a lot of other people get relegated to the wait list.

I'm probably on waiting list since I didn't spot this til today, but I have to do Sunday; I'm in the karaoke contest, so I dunno if I can do Friday. X3 Sorry all.

Yep!

And it sounds you replied later than when I sent out the waitlist email. I can assure you that you are on the waiting list. Please look to the first post in the thread (with the rules) to see the updated version. It will explain everything you need to know about being on the waiting list :)

I never said that it was forbidden. I believe I still accepted your application (you were the only one who applied in a group), but I requested for you to send individual emails regardless. It is easier for me to organize that way. The group application in no way affected whether or not you got in.

Roguemagus brought up the main reason I didn't want people applying as a group. Some may be waitlisted, while others may get in, while others may get in on different days. It is difficult for me to organize that in my inbox, so I requested separate emails. But, like I previously stated, it did not affect whether or not you got in.

I apologize for not bringing up anything about group sign-ups in the instructions. It was not something that I expected. I just assumed everyone would send their own application in, rather than signing up with friends. I will make sure to make a note of this and add edit the rules next year.
