TL;DR: Look at all this cool shit I can do. Here is my DA http://earlgreyxx.deviantart.com/ my comic Pokemon Gijinka Nuzlocke Challenge http://earlgreyxx.deviantart.com/gallery/33073278 and I need commissions, here are some examples http://earlgreyxx.deviantart.com/gallery/34961390 email me at [email protected] if you would like to commission me and we'll figure out a price. I need the money for Fanime.

Sup y'all. I want to get into the Artist Alley scene, but let me tell you about myself.

About Me:
My name is Earl Grey, Earl for short. Art is not only something I do for fun, but it is a way of life. There have been times where was a way for me to survive both emotionally and when I needed to pay for my necessities. I eat, shit and breath art. I am between my Sophomore and Junior year at the San Francisco Art Institute. Not to be confused with the chain of Art Institutes. I go to a Fine Arts school. What's the difference? The Fine Arts world has not fully accepted Japanese Anime as an art form yet (unfortunately). But I love Japanese Anime and I owe Japanese Anime for inspiring me to draw. I continue to go to a Fine Arts school so that I can defend Japanese Anime as a FULLY acceptable art style by carefully studying the history of Fine Arts that possess historical similarities, critiques and defenses for Japanese Anime. I have a BFA in Painting and I am well versed in may different types of art styles.

I am also the creator of Pokemon Gijinka Nuzlocke Challenge:
I don't expect people to know me THAT well, but it might ring a bell for people that can recognize the terms "Gijinka" and "Nuzlocke Challenge". A Pokemon Gijinka is a humanization of a pokemon. Pokemon Gijinka are also rising in popularity in the Cosplay Community. A Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules that make the Pokemon Game more difficult to play. It is especially well known for these rules: Every pokemon you catch has to have a nickname and that if your pokemon faints in a battle, it is considered dead. You heard me right. Your pokemon faints once and you can never use it again. Nuzlocke Challenges are very popular because of how emotionally invested a player gets and it has inspired many comics, including my own. You can read Pokemon Gijinka Nuzlocke Challenges on my DeviantART http://earlgreyxx.deviantart.com/gallery/33073278 or on the Nuzlocke Forums http://s7.zetaboards.com/Nuzlocke_Forum/topic/8591873/1/

I also take commissions: I have a lot of history with commission work you can check out here http://earlgreyxx.deviantart.com/gallery/34961390 I'll also return to the thread to provide examples for people to see instead of hopping links. This is also just a fraction of the commission work I have done as well, I have done much more in the past and my customers have always been satisfied. I always negotiate a price based on how long it will take me to complete a task and to accommodate the commissioner. I have various ways to communicate, via Skype, Livestream, MSN, DeviantART or Email. Or if there are any natives in the Bay Area, we could even meet, but nothing that would go too far out of your comfort zone.

Why do I need commissions?: So that I can get enough cash to meet my quota for my Fanime Budget and so that indeed, I can get into the Con Scene at Artist Alley. I know it doesn't seem like much for a lot of people, but its a big deal for me. So again, if you are interested in commissioning me, my email is [email protected] and we can talk from there.

also, it never hurts to try and sell stuff at the swap meet as well, i mean it wont actually lower the dent on your budget but maybe it can help at some point...
still, Let me think about the commission thing...

TheEarlGrey

Thanks. c: I thought about the Swap Meet, but I think I'll be alright at the rate I'm going. I think the hardest time I am going to have is finding someone who would be willing to share a table with me (and who has a seller's permit)

Hachimitsu

the forum is a perfect place to find the table sharing.. for now just get the full table and see what happens because there was abuot 10-15 people asking for a table share back in 2011...
I think we might get double now that the price has jumped from $60 to ^$75.

erh question how much are the comissions you charge,?
(gave you a link to the one i like, I know its $20 but thats if your hungry.. but realistically how much?)
