The 2014 Black & White Ball Lesson Schedule

Not sure how to dance? Want to try something new? Maybe brush up on your dance moves?

The Black and White Ball staff will be offering group dance lessons every day leading up to the Ball, as well as a handful of private lessons. To sign up for the private lessons, head on over to the DJ booth during or in between lessons and talk with a staff member to get you set up for your time slot and what dance you would like to learn. These are on a first come, first serve basis, so sign up early during the con!

This year, all dance lessons and the Black & White Ball will be held at Parkside Hall, next to the Tech Museum.

Any recommendations on which dances are the most fun, beginner-friendly, or popular to learn? I feel really overwhelmed by the variety and I'm sure I won't have time to attend a lesson for each!

some of the easiest/beginner-friendly ones are the ones that almost everyone knows the name of
cha cha, salsa and waltz (by far the most popular dance)
the merengue is also very simple as well because its basically a stay-in-place sorta dance

So, some stuff got misprinted in the pocket schedule and rather than trying to complicate things, the lesson schedule is going to be the same as the pocket guide.

So on Friday:
