Fanime 2015 Hetalia All Ages & 18+ Panels (Auditions CLOSED)

Hey guys! France, Sweden, and Finland here. We're hoping to get both an all-ages and an 18+ panel; this way both panels are run by the same group of people, everything goes smoothly, and there are no conflicts between the two panels. Between the three of us main hosts we have over 10 years of panel experience.

EDIT: We are wait listed for the All Ages panel and are hoping for a cancellation to get a spot saturday or sunday. The 18+ panel has been accepted and is slotted to be Friday from 11pm - 1am in Panels 4. Our needed panelist list has been updated as well, so please take a look! All auditions are due by May 1st and after that we will be sticking with the cast we have.

We are currently looking to fill a few specific slots on both panels for 2015, since we are trying to limit the number of characters on the panel. If a character you cosplay and would like to audition as is NOT listed if you so desire you can still submit an audition but please know we most likely will not pick you unless we believe you are exceptional as the character and think your character would fit in with our cast list.

PLEASE NOTE: We are asking that people answer character-specific questions, so please PM or post in the thread who you would like to audition for so you may get the questions we wish for you to answer. These questions are to show us how well you will react to both commonly asked questions for your character and how you would handle them as well as your knowledge of the canon of the series.

Video Rules:

• Video must be NO MORE than 5 minutes in length
• Must be in full cosplay including wig/hairstyling and makeup for IC portion
• Video must include the following:

           - Your Name and Age
           - Panel Experience (in general and specifying experience as your character) ex: Ive been in 10 panels, but have only been this character in 1 panel.
           - Must answer at least one character specific and one history/canon based question (get from the panel hosts by posting as mentioned above)
           - In-character portion must be a short monologue, no more than 2 minutes if possible. You can include character specific questions in this section or have them as a separate part.
           - Please try and keep from rambling in IC portion

• Submit link to Youtube video via comment or PM
• If you have links to other panels you have been in and would like to include those as examples feel free to send the links to them as well
• EDIT: Please also remember that the questions are so we can see how you act in a panel environment, keep it sort, sweet and IC! we're judging on ic improv not rehearsed lines.

Auditioner Rules:

• It is required you are at least 16+ to be in the all ages panel, 18+ is recommended if your character is listed as needed on both lists, but if you are under 18 you can still just be in the all ages panel.
• NO ALT VERSIONS: 2p, nyo, chibi, OCs, etc are not accepted.
• Must be open with giving panel heads their phone numbers for contacting purposes as well as maybe adding us on FB.
• Must say in video, or otherwise ASAP, if there are any at all possible conflicts. Other panels, events you want to go to, gatherings, etc. This is for scheduling purposes and so things may be planned for if needed.

• North Italy (18+ only)
• Denmark (both)
• Norway (both)
• Iceland (all ages only)
• Hungary (both potentially)

Characters available for auditioning are subject to change with little to no notice, so please check this post regularly. If a character you have expressed interest in becomes unavailable we will try and notify you.

Sorry for the late reply, I never got a notif there was a response to the thread. We are accepting auditions now until about a month -month and a half before the con. I'll get back to you ASAP on the character specific questions for Iceland if you're still interested!

I'd love to audition for Germany, but I'm not 18 so I'd only be able to be in the all ages one...I'll send it in anyway. Is it ok if in the video, I don't have my full cosplay finished yet?

All ages we're hoping for sometime Saturday after noon, the 18+ panel we've asked for sat, fri, or sunday night in preference order.

Update: Our Germany thought they wouldn't be able attend but have now confirmed that they will indeed be attending Fanime so the slot for Germany is no longer up for audition.

Hello! I was really looking forward to possibly auditioning for Norway, but there's a slight problem: I'm only 14 and your audition rules state that I would have to be 16+ to even try. Can I get some clarification on why the age is 16+? I understand that it's probably a matter of maturity, but keep in mind that some 14 year-olds that act like 16 year-olds, and some 16 year-olds act like 14 year-olds. It's alright if nothing can be done, but I'm still holding onto that tiny sliver of hope. Thanks
