QuoteIf you registered with a valid An Cafe promo code, a concert ticket will be reserved for you until Friday. After we finish distributing tickets Friday evening, any tickets that have not been picked up will be released for others to pick up.

Woah, woah, woah, WOAH.  I'm arriving at fanime saturday morning, does that mean I won't get a ticket, even though I put in the promo code and everything?

Don't worry! You can still get a ticket as long as you have your membership badge and line up at the times given on the MusicFest website.

Curious since I almost registered (midnight procrastination FTW), I was kicked out of the system when I submitted because the deadline passed.
Is it possible to reinstate it and register or no?

Because if not I was planning on getting my badge along with the tickets on Thursday (Day 0) but it looks like its only for people who registered. :(

You can email [email protected] and they can answer your question.

You can come on Friday and buy a full weekend badge. Once you have that, you can hop into the line for the tickets for An Cafe. :D There are lots of chances to pick up the tickets.

I have a question I'm not very clear on.

On Friday morning, are you actually giving out 125+ tickets? 125 tickets for those who didn't enter the AnCafe promo code and "+" tickets for those who did and have their tickets reserved? Also,on Friday, can I get all three tickets at once? Well, if there are still any autograph and reception tickets left . . .

Tony

The numbers in the quota column are the amount of tickets we're distributing to members who don't have a ticket reserved. It doesn't include the number of tickets we're giving to people who entered an An Cafe promo code.

And, yes, you can get all three tickets at once on Friday. If the autograph and reception tickets have run out by the time you get to the ticketing window, you can try again Friday evening... and Saturday morning and evening... etc.

So you can't get all 3 tickets on Thursday? That's only the concert ticket? Also...what is Cafekko? Is that related to AnCafe?

Cafekko are what Antikku calls their fans.

Ah okay. Thanks so much!

it's not fair :( The AnCafe fan reception thingie is like the same time as the Hidenobu Kiuchi fan appreciation thingie and the gothic lolita picnic...agh...I just can't win at this con >.< ...

So there's an opening band, right?
What time approximately will they start?

What time will An Cafe start?

Also, what time can we start lining up for the concert? Are there rules about it?

That is all answered on the music fest part of the Fanime website. I dont know about the opening band since there hasent been an update on any other acts but im sure that there might be one? Musicfest always has a variety set so its like all artists not just one opening act and then the main event.

:3 music fest staff is working hard im betting so I hope for them things run super smoothly

fencergirl

Okay... I don't really think that answers any of my questions but thanks for trying.

That's correct. We are only giving out the reserved concert tickets on Thursday.

Yes. Ramen and Rice are our opening band.

The show starts at 8pm as stated on the MusicFest website.

You can line up anytime after the FMV's end. If you line before that, our Safety on Site may disperse you or think that you are there just for FMVs and not the concert.

Since the line doesn't start until after the FMV's, out of curiosity and safety I'm going to ask this.
What is the Fanime staff / security going to do about the line, or how would we go about getting in line? It's probably going to end up a mad dash the second the FMV's end, so I'm wondering what sort of policy or whatever would be put in place as far as lining up. I know it'll be safe or whatever, I'm just curious as to how you guys will go about doing it so I'll be prepared for whatever.

Safety is one of the main things we took into consideration. We want our attendees to be safe and for everyone to have a great time at the concert.

There will be Safety on Site around. There will be police around (both in uniform and plain clothes) on site. There will be other measures of security in place.

I'm sure it won't be a rowdy time lining up. But SoS, MusicFest staff, and the Police/EMTs are all aware that this is big event and all steps to keep things running smoothly and safely will be taken.

If you are breaking the rules of FanimeCon (they're in the program guide/online!) and/or state laws, your badge may be revoked and you may miss the event. I'm hoping it won't come down to that and everyone will have a good time and be respectful of each other.

How would you be breaking the rules in this situation? Any examples?

I am worried about fights breaking out and people trying to steal spots. I'd also hate to be waiting in-line only for people to cut in front of you just because your friend was there. I have had this kind of thing happen to me before. It's not fun.

Shi_Musouka

I believe one of the things that can get your badge pulled is if you are caught backstage. I know the reason they're enforcing the 3,000 capacity is because to go over that capacity may present a safety/fire hazard inside the building. It is against the facility rules(dunno if it's illegal) to block any doors, exits, walkways, and emergency equipment because it makes it that much harder for Fanime Staff and San Jose City personnel to escort everyone out the building or to grab ahold of emergency equipment should something like an earthquake, fire, etc. occur during the concert.

I do know that the police do not take kindly to people who riot. No question about it, there will be SoS staff doing line control for this event and judging about the amount of staff that have been stationed for line control and the like, someone is bound to pay attention to cutters. Generally, SoS will tell them to go to the end up the line, but there are some that aren't as straightforward when approaching these things.

For An Cafe, I'm pretty sure the people working there will enforce the no cutting, most likely. I doubt that answered the question, but it was worth the attempt :]

mrsanticafe

That makes me feel safer. I'd like to go to the concert and have fun, not get hurt. I'd just hate to have the chance of getting the ticket and lose it by some selfish fans.

Sunara Ishi

I thought that after the 15th, our promo code would be locked so we couldn't change it? O.o?
Mine still shows a white box where you can edit.
I had typed in "ancafe" like a month ago but without the quotes. Did we need the quotes? O.o?

That was a month ago. I believe it was the 15th of this month the promo code was closed.

So....it's expected that there will be 3,000 fans there?

I feel silly for asking this, but are there going to be any other opportunities to win backstage passes?

gackt_2003

oh my goodness...i think i've misunderstood this whole time.
i thought those who entered a promo-code had all three tickets reserved for them.
but a reserved ticket is only a concert ticket. right?
so since i have a promo-code, i can go friday and get my reserved concert ticket. but i'd have to line up seperately with everyone else to try and get a reception/autograph ticket. right?

so sorry so many questions are asked, but i really appreciate all you're doing for us!! =]

Ari

Lol how dumb i am but how in the worl did you get a promo code? Did i not pay attention or was it sent to people?

Thanks so much for answering my question.~
That was my main worry for the day of the concert, considering I've been to some rather, erm, interesting Jrock concerts before where people were way out of line. The rabid fangirls / fanboys can get pretty extreme sometimes, and I'm glad to hear there are plenty of measures that will ensure the safety of everyone attending. =)

I'll save my other questions for when I get in line there, since they're more about the security measures inside the building. There will be plenty of time to figure that sort of stuff out~ but for now, thanks a lot! It feels like a great load of stress just got lifted.  8)
