The Preliminary Round will be at Gamba Karaoke (and 4 other karaoke bars and stores) and the TOP 3 contestants from each place will proceed to Final round at the Spirit of Japantown Festival!

Gamba Karaoke's preliminary Round is on Oct. 1st, at 7-9pm (tentative)

The Final Round will be at the Japantown Festival on Oct. 2nd, 3:30-5pm!

Google is coming to Anime V store to take pictures for their search engine!

Anime V thought it'd be great to spruce up the store with Cosplayers and Anime fans!
They will be there Wednesday July 14th sometime between 2pm and 5pm.

Since it's a wide time range, bring portable chairs to rest when you need to. They will have refreshments!
Anyone here when the Google photographer arrives will be entered into a drawing after the pictures are taken for movie tickets and maybe a few other goodies!

I want to do cosplay that is not too advanced to make, but decent.
I have sewed costumes few times, but not much worked with alterations.

I am wondering if there are any cosplay ideas for me to do.
I have few in mind, but it's always good to have varieties to choose from.

WHO ARE YOU COSPLAYING AS? ( MINOR-ANIME COSPLAY)


I'm currently working on a cosplay costume of Lytia from a light novel series called "Kouen no Wizard (Wizard of flame light)"

It is not really known in the US since its not translated, its novel series, and not out in comics.

But I love this series and the outfit is so cute, so I planned to make this costume.


Last year, my friend did Kyuzo, a character from Samurai 7. This is more known anime series, but still only 2 people pointed out that she is Kyuzo.

its just an suggestion, but when i was listening to anime character songs today, i thought it might be fun to have cosplayers air sing, meaning mouthing, the character song they are cosplaying as.

I donno, i just thought it might be fun to watch!
i first thought as a contest kind, but i also thought its too broad and hard to judge.

I did registration for Fanime 2009 at the con!
I mean...if you know you are gonna be there next year, what's better than registering for $35??!!

I bought the comic 21 with the dvd and it is very cool! they have original op and main theme, too!
and there are some sites you can watch the first one!

This is one of my fav anime that i am watching right now.
Last year, they showed the first season, now they are showing the second.
the character design is beautiful and i love them!
my fav charactor is Ran Ryuren (especially in second series)

Reminder that this is only planned time. Since open-mic is very popular, we would have some delay in times. I will do the best to get close to those times, but keep it in mind.

Meeting place will be in the karaoke room, and i will ask for people to come up on stage when its our turn.

we can choose to do either the tv size or full when we get there. (i have the music for both verison) I have Sat as tv size version so we have at least once with short version that most of us know the dance better.
