Maybe you typed in something wrong?  Maybe try it again and see if you get the same message?

I didn't know you could add a metronome to beginning to count yourself in.  No awkward start!  WOOHOO!   ;D

I don't think the time change is too bad.  In the past, I usually stopped after the 1st chorus.  To me, stopping in the middle of 2nd verse felt weird.  Lol.

But I'm super stoked for this year!   ;D  I can't wait!

I was sad I couldn't compete last year due to work, but I heard everyone was amazing.  Can't wait to see everyone this year!   :D

I also recorded all the qualifying round singers as well.  I plan to combine the videos and upload them sometime this weekend.

I just want to say everyone did an AMAZING job this weekend.  I was extremely impressed with all the talent this year.  Everyone should be proud of themselves.  Seriously.   AWESOME JOB ALL AROUND! ;)

I usually feel like the Fanime contest (since it's a larger con and such) is too ~ serious business~ for someone like me who just wants to sing and have fun...but I might not actually care this year. I guess we'll see how I feel once I get there.

Should I go for it anyway? :) I don't know what I would sing... probably something out of left field like Bird of Paradise and then some random EGO-WRAPPIN' ballad if I make it to finals. (Go Gatsu no Clover? Do they have that song? Well, I'm pretty sure they have Whole World Happy and Sora no Lion, if not...not that any of these songs would show off my voice, but I doubt I'd make it to the finals, anyway!)

You should do it!  Karaoke is all about having fun.  Everyone competing really supports one another.  While it is a contest and it is semi-competitive, its a fun type of competitive.   Kind of like fighting games.  Lol!   ;D

This'll be my first year at Fanime and I'm signing up for the Karaoke contest. Well, I did.
I suppose we'll see if I actually made it on the list.

I competed last year as well as my first time and made it to finals!  My story is...I decided to join the singing contest for fun since my friends pushed me to do so.  I thought I wouldn't make it to finals, so I didn't prepare a final song...but I ended up being a finalist, so I pulled the first song I knew from the karaoke list haha.  Make sure you pick all your songs, even if you think you might not make it to the finals, just like me haha

My history is:  I'm 20 years old studying Digital Media Art, Business, and currently working as an English tutor for Japanese international students and an application consultant for a Japanese start up company, Connectionpool.  I've been a frontman and guitarist for many bands, but I started a new band called, Minor SetbacK, where we write originals in Japanese.  We have so far performed with famous J-Rock/con bands, such as Phoenix Ash, The Stars at Dusk (aka Valkyrie Kiss), and akai Sky.  My influences are androp, ONE OK ROCK, Motohiro Hata, etc.

I am planning to compete again, cause I thought it'd be fun to do so again!  I hope seeing familiar and new faces next year! :)

Thank you for this Hank.  I never knew the year she won.  She's a big inspiration to me as a singer.
