Oh okay cool, thanks! I'm still going to try and get there early to beat some of the traffic.

I think it's great that people come from all over to Fanime! It's definitely a convention worth the trip! I'm coming from San Francisco, so it's not too far.

Sometimes, I wonder to myself why there are people dressed up as non-Japanese related characters (Storm Troopers, Marvel, DC, Disney, etc.), but I would very much rather have people dress up in costume than not. Conventions are all about dressing up!

This is going to be my 5th Fanime, but I usually go on Saturday and Sunday, so the pre-reg pick up line is pretty short. How long is the pre-reg lines usually on Fridays? What is a good suggested time to arrive so that I don't have to wait too long?

3) As others have mentioned, I would suggest eating elsewhere for lunch since the food at the con is expensive and very small portions. You're going to be in downtown San Jose and there's a lot of places to eat within walking distance.

4) I never bring water because they have water fountains around the convention center. One less thing to carry around. I would highly suggest a backpack so you can put all the things you buy in there so you don't have to carry them around also.

5) Where do you think is the best place to park? (I'm fine with paying a fee if it's less distance walking from the con)

5) I usually park at the parking lot near McDonald's. There's a fee (I forget how much), but it's wasn't much considering you'll be there all day.

6) Do you think 1 day at fanime is enough to explore all around?

6) One day should be enough if you get there early and leave late, but I usually go Saturday and Sunday, which is more than enough. I cosplay the entire time I'm there and it gets exhausting carrying around a big weapon. But the environment is so much fun that you'll want more than one day at Fanime. This year is the first time I'm going to be there Friday through Sunday.

Another additional note, you should cosplay! You're going to have so much fun and see so many cool costumes that you're going to regret not dressing up! This will be my 5th Fanime and I've always cosplayed.

I was wondering if anybody had any information on a Resident Evil gathering or photoshoot? I heard there was an unofficial one last year, but I missed it and I would really love to take pictures with the rest of the RE cosplayers this year! I tried searching this forum for any information on a RE gathering and found nothing. If there is anybody interested, please let me know! Thanks!
