need some help from the fanimecon people:
70's and past
80's
90's
and now early 2000
thank you!
Early Seasons of Sailor Moon?
Video Girl Ai
One thing I would really like to see are some REALLY obscure shows from these periods. I don't know a whole lot myself, but I can suggest a few. They may be hard to get a hold of, but even in raw Japanese some really obscure and under appreciated shows would be great to have in the Nostalgia Room. Here are a couple I know of:
Moon Base Dallos
Plawres Sanshiro
Bavel no Hon
Gosenzosama Banbanzai!
As for the more well-known stuff:
70's and before:
Hakujaden - widely considered the "first" anime.
Heidi, Girl of the Alps - Isao Takahata's breakthrough show, started the whole "World Masterpiece Theatre" phenom.
Future Boy Conan - Hayao's Miyazaki's sci-fi adventure show, would love to see some of this.
Mazinger Z - Mazinger 'nuff said.
Gatchaman - another classic.
80's
Yamato (this might be 70s, not 100% sure)
Macross
Urusei Yatsura
Megazone23
Angel's Egg
Night on the Galactic Railroad
Tale of Genji
Arion
Ranma 1/2 (is this 80's or early 90s?) marathon would be fantastic!
90s
Otaku no Video
Nadia
Eva (of course)
Serial Experiments Lain
Cowboy Bebop
2000s
Monster
Mushishi
Fantastic Children
Crest of the Stars (and the sequels)
Yuusha Raideen (1970's)
Usei Shonen Papi (Planet Boy Papi or Prince Planet) 1960's
Please, thanks!
Go Lion
Tenchi Muyo (Universe series)
Sailor Moon (all seasons)
Angelic Layer
Ronin Warriors
Maison Ikkoku
Kimagure Orange Road
Dragonball
Zoids: New Century Zero
One that Hubby and I are in the middle of right now is Touch. If an Orange Road fan hasn't gotten into it already, it's defintely one worth considering, as there are plenty of similarities. :)
Anyone for Dr. Slump?
I'm surprised Astro Boy and Speed Racer haven't been mentioned yet. Or any of the Robotech series.
Um your under arrest?
Is that an old one?

Ya it counts :) but there's a lot to choose from-
List of Y.U.A.'s ranging from the 1990's-2000 (http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?q=you're%20under%20arrest)
1st season of Pokemon! And maybe the first 2 movies :)
1990's - Rurouni Kenshin!
Sailor Moon please ^^ Pokemon?? Cardcaptor Sakura ^^
ohh i second pokemon and cardcaptors
hope this goes around i wanna see some of the old shows i never got to see since i did not exist back then lol i.e. gatchaman
High Speed Jecy
Key the Metal Idol
Martian Successor Nadesico
Magic Knight Rayearth
I know it's too late now but how about a Toonami lineup?
Gundam Wing
Ronin Warriors
DBZ
Especially Ronin Warriors. God, I loved that show haha.
It would be awsome to see:
Saint Seiya
Outlaw Star
Cyborg 009
Witch Hunter Robin
Wolf's Rain
The best! My personal favs.
wolf's rain & magic knight ray earth for sure!
My friend and I had a blast watching Combattler V. Daimos is also a good one, and I'd second Raideen.
I'd also like to put in a vote for a couple of retro Gundam series, such as 0079, Zeta, and ZZ.
Gundam Wing is a good AU suggestion, and I also enjoyed G Gundam. :)
wedding peach.... and princess nine.
VHS tapes
Generator Gawl
Weiss Kreuz (okay I'm biased like woah)
Early CLAMP works (i.e. Miyuki-chan, MKR, etc) - heck any of the CLAMP stories that came out before TRC/xxxHOLIC
Martian Successor Nadesico
City Hunter is always a great choice.
You're under Arrest was one of my favorites.
Galaxy Express 999 is famous one, too.
90's:
Marmalade Boy
Wedding Peach
I personally vote for :
Eva
Dragonball (the original)
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star

You mean blue sub #6
I'm surprised nobody said Lupin the 3rd, Cutie Honey, or Creamy Angel Mami yet.
Could list some more, but I have to dig into my memory a bit. lol

I'd like that. I've only seen a few samples of the show.
And I know it was mentioned but, Dragon ball.
I haven't seen it listed, but what about Saint Seiya?
i support this idea
80s
Dirty Pair
Ideon
Dairugger XV
Jojos Bizzare Adventure
Hokoto No Ken
Berserk
Saint Seiya
Over the last year, I saw a few episodes of Ai Shite Night. I liked it, but I could only find a few episodes that were translated. If there was a way to see more of the series subbed, that would be cool. (I don't know if that kind of suggestion counts?)
Otherwise, I will always be a Rurouni Kenshin nerd, so that's my nostalgia. ;)
FLCL

Great list... although, looking at it, some of these series feel like they were just released yesterday and we were watching them in my high school anime club (01-04).... it just hasn't hit me that I'm getting old, I guess.
what about the viewitful joe anime? its fun to watch
I like that list, a lot of really good programming there.
Fist of the North Star. Have the movie if you can't find a place for the series.
maybe ideas for this year? idk. (yay nostalgia)
80's: Creamy Mami, Dirty Pair, Gundam!!
90's: Neon Genesis Evangelion (wow shocker), Cowboy Bebop (ok i know its not that old but its pretty great),Rurouni Kenshin, Sailor Moon!!!!, and Dragon Ball Z
Movies:
Akira (1988), also Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (all 80's movies) i mean you can't really go wrong with Miyazaki films
wow sorry i named like a lot of the really obvious ones that are shown a lot but hey
For series from the 90s, I'd love to see Fushigi Yuugi on the list.
Really close to con but let's slide Robot Carnival in there this year if possible! The Japanese R2 anniversary DVD release actually included the old English Streamline dub for "Presence" and "A Tale of Two Robots - Chapter Three: Foreign Invasion" and the transfer is pretty damn stunning. The usual places online have it for download, or break out your original disc if you were fortunate enough to scrounge up a copy - and pay out the nose for it like I did.
Nostalgia room is one of my favorite parts of 'con - especially due the volunteer that was staffing the Nostalgia Room on Saturday morning last year (during VOTOMs and Patlabor) as he was awesome! Very cool to talk with about old school anime, offered to turn the volume up if the bass from the marathon room was overpowering through the wall (which it wasn't), came over and apologized after a technical issue getting Patlabor to play; he was just an incredible person and one of the best staffers I have ever met at any convention. I believe he was also staffing later during Fatal Fury 2 and Iria: Zeriam the Animation. He also ran the dub tracks where available which is a big part of Anime nostalgia to a lot of us.
BIONIC SIX GALAXY RANGERS INHUMANOIDS WHEEL WARRIORS OLD SCHOOL TMNT
OLD SCHOOL GHOSTBUSTERS OLD SCHOOL THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS SILVERHAWKS/THUNDERCATS
I see plenty of great suggestions! Now to repeat a good number of them! 8)
-Sailor Moon (Special request for Season 4)
-Outlaw Star
-Pokemon The First Movie OR 2000
-Yu Yu Hakusho
-Tenchi Muyo
-MS Gundam 'The 08th MS Team'
-G Gundam
-DBZ Androids/Cell Sagas
-Gunsmith Cats
Various years but these all have re-watch value in my mind:
Vampire Princess Miyu
Slayers
Sorcerer Hunters
Utena
Tokyo Babylon & X
Blue Seed
Chrono Crusade
Boogiepop Phantom
Crest of the Stars
Dragon Half
Maze
Serial Experiments Lain
Blue Submarine No. 6
I second Serial Experiments Lain.
Also:
Vision Of Escaflowne
Record Of Lodoss War
Flame Of Recca
whoever chose to play Boogiepop Phantom at three in the morning is super funny lol xD
Suggestions for nostalgia room 2016
Charge!! Boy School
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
Lupin 3rd
Violinist of Hamelin
Wedding Peach
Marmalade Boy
Tenchi Muyo
I second Lupin the 3rd~ Also Trigun! (not that old but I think it's still a classic~)
Now that Discotek has picked it up and officially re-released it, I'll quote my post from 2014:

The Discotek release is essentially the R2 release, including the nostalgic Streamline dub for those two shorts.
I think it's cool when the Nostalgia Room runs titles that have been out of print for a long time but have recently re-released or are slated for re-release (or first release) soon. Cat's Eye last year is a good example of this as was Cutey Honey and Mazinger Z two years ago.
For something fansubbed to toss into the mix, how about Armor Hunter Mellowlink? Armored Troopers VOTOMS has been featured in the Nostalgia Room and Mellowlink is an outstanding stand alone prequel (timeline wise) set in the same universe.
Space Battleship Yamato (1974)
Battle of the Planets (1978)/ G-Force (1986)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)
Yu Yu Hakusho (1990)
Blue Seed (1994)
Moblie Suit Gundam Wing (1995)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995)
Princess Mononoke (1997)
Outlaw Star (1998)
Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne/ Phantom Thief Jeanne (1999)
I hope this might help!
Lots of good suggestions so far. Wished I knew about this thread sooner.
Here are my suggestions
the original Bubblegum Crisis (80's)
Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (90's)
Big O (1990-2000)
Please Teacher (2002)
Chobits (2002)
Initial D First Stage (90's)
Since everyone has already suggested almost everything I would have, I don't have much to suggest.
If I may make some humble suggestions, I would love to see
They Were Eleven (1986)
Galaxy Express 999 (?)
