A lot of cons don't allow this due to the convention centres they are in don't consider these shoes as the bottom is soft and offers no protection. I don't know about fanime specifically but people from other cons have been getting the no go on it. If you do wear them though, aside from being soft, they also don't have any support so they are going to hurt a lot after a while. It's basically walking barefoot. Since she is going with body paint I know he options are harder and maybe a tad off but her comfort should be most important. With flip flops, you would need good primer and then just touch ups here and there. But it isn't even that important to touch up since most people probably won't be looking at he feet anyways or long enough no notice parts are lighter. There's also this other show called iguaneye which are considered shoes which you can look into. They are also reusable which is better then the sticker shoes. Another's option is to make invisible shoes. These have straps also but they are see though. You can also paint the mesh the skin color. These also don't have support but atleast they have a hard bottom to protect your girlfriend.

Me and my sisters might come depending on when it is as Mulan, Cricket, and Mushu but cricket and mushu will be in Chinese robes as opposed to mascots.
YAYYY a Mulan with the whole team. I can't wait to see the cosplays.

=D Your Belle cosplay is gorgeous by the way.

Registration / Cost of pass there
May 15, 2014, 09:42:41 AM
Hihi!~
I normally buy my tickets online but I have a friend who has never been there. She isn't sure if she could come though because her work schedule always changes. How much does it cost to buy the ticket there? I looked around but I am not to sure where to find it. And do you need to bring ID for that too? Thank you.

Okay, ty!

Does anyone know what happens if you apply for a seller's permit but don't get a table? I normally apply for one after I get the table but not sure when "assigned a table" happens so I got one now like they said. Do you still have to do the taxes and stuff if you don't get a table?

It was pretty fast last year but I am not sure how long it was for people who were waitlisted.

I wouldn't mind if being put back in the south hall only if
1) it were cleaner. And not slightly cleaner but super cleaner. not grimey and sickening.
2) direction to the place was better for attendees. Like better signs (I only saw one and it was to low to be noticed) and staff that actually knew what they were talking about. I knew it was in the South Hall but I wasn't sure where that was. Asked for directions and three different staff people pointed me the wrong directions. One didn't even know there what the AA was... Only heard of dealer's hall.

Both of my main problems with the South Hall could potentially be fixed (not sure if the grossness can) but a smaller cramped room can't be fixed. It would be nice to let a lot of artist have a chance at the AA rather than just a few.

yea, fast was like 15 mins I think for last year. Atleast that is what I heard. And I normally take the one way bus for 20 because it is a one trip thing so it is a fast ride with no stops. Also, you don't have to walk around as much which is helpful if you are planning on bringing luggage around. With the bart it is 11 something so you are saving money but it cost time and more effort. I rather take the bus since I hate being tired from a plane to have to take a bus, then bart, then bus, then w/e to get to where you are staying. If you do take the bart though, there is a little slip that will let you transfer on the bus for cheaper or free depending if you are a student or your age or something. I forget. It's a little machine with a green button that is near the excalator so grab the slip from that if you go the bart way.

I'm flying in from Toronto too! Just moved here. =D I will be going regardless since I spend time with my sisters for the week but I really hope they open it soon. I'm an artisan crafter so it's not like I can make bulk stuff only to find out I didn't get a table and be stuck with a lot of it.
As for your questions, I like flying into San Francisco since there are options for one plane with no layovers. It would also suck really bad if you get delayed on one layover. I got delayed before on my first flight for a 3 flight trip because the first officer forgot the passport. Took him an hour to get it but it delayed me for 2 days since I missed the third plane. That wasn't for fanime though. Also, there is a bus that will take you to San Jose from San Francisco for 20 dollars on a nonstop trip. You can also take the bart which is cheaper.

Generally when does artist alley registering start?
No clue. It's random I think
How many tables are available?
It depends on the location. Last year there was a lot since we were in a big area but with construction done, they might not put us there again so there would be less that last year most likely if that happens.
How competitive is it for tables?
Pretty competitive I think =T Last year sold out fast I think
Traffic?
If we get put in the main building, traffic is good but less tables. If we get put in the south hall again, lots of tables but less traffic (unless they put up more noticeable signs to direct people). Somewhere else, I don't kno but I would say it depends on the signs. Really depends on location.
Any suggestions for print quantities?
Artisan crafter so can't help you there. =(

I have been reading about this on the facebook for AA. You can get the some members of the group that made this rule to help you carry stuff in for a price that is not yet definite.
#14
I can make the pattern for you if you want.
#15
Aww, still awesome though. I'll try to be there. =)

Last last year I had a table and didn't have to get a permit until I actually got the table. Do I need a permit before now? D=

Is there always a discount for cosplaying or just during fanime time? =o I love eating there I and I'll cosplay any day for cheaper food.

@ kagome437: *YEAH! I've added your friend! You'll have lots more fun with more of your friends cosplaying FF characters :)

@ Ockman: Really! You have a red mage from XI! Oh I added you! You gotta come and represent XI! For what it is worth I think XI has more love than XIV has :) Please come!

@ Lizchan33: sorry... I'm not letting you get away that easy :P * plans on kidnapping Lizchan and how to make her Loli work into the FF gathering :P

@cowsrcute: I was all set to work on Quistis in her seed uniform until you posted you guys are doing the manor :P I have always wanted to do Gurdy! *LOL My oldest daughter and I did a King Gigas 5 years ago for a friend! It was awesome, hot, but really awesome!

decisions, decisions, decisions.... *still really excited!* I've updated the list!

I tried to recruit my brother for gigas but he didn't want too. He said it looked to hot.
Yeah! Rich is a BIG man and he said he sweated lbs in it, but LOVED wearing it! :P Why is it soooo hard to get big men to cosplay? I would love to see a BIG guy cosplay Gluttony from FMA or Ward from FFVIII, not to mention all the other great "Big Guy" roles in so many different anime's. I know the fur is hot, but that is why you take ice packs and put them in pockets sewn into the inside of the costume (along with most organizers understand the demands on furry anime characters so they work their gatherings to their advantage)

I wanted my brother to be gluttony too a while back but he didn't want too either. QQ Never thought of the ice pack thing. =o Thats a good idea. Maybe I'll try asking my bro again suggesting that. lol
