Just posting this as a reminder to anyone else who uses their buses or light rail.

Made this thread last year, but it is gone.
As for me, yes I do. It's also 87 degrees in my room right now (darn attic access in my closet)
The "screw you" option simply means no.

Forum Games / Music Hurt and Heal!
June 14, 2009, 05:12:14 PM
Pretty much the same as the anime one.
-You can heal/heal or heal/hurt or hurt/hurt
-Wait 20 mins after posting.
-You can still nominate another musician/band (can't hurt or heal during that turn though)
-New nominees start with 12 points
-No revivals once a candidate is dead One exception: If a musician/band scores over 100 points, then dies, it will be eligible for an appeal, and a second chance at the game. However, the required points for safety may increase at my discretion.

(Please excuse my "randomness")
Candidates:

-The Beatles 12
-Meat Loaf 12
-Van Halen 12
-Frank Zappa 12
-ZZ Top 12
-Shoko Nakagawa 12
-ZZ 12
-Lynyrd Skynyrd 12
-Koji Kondo 12
-Mozart 12
-Motely Crue 12
-Elvis 12

So, it is for real (no pun intended)

Hmm, I haven't seen the animated movie, and I happen to like the "Kids" version, so to speak.

Panels and Workshops / Fanime Forums Panel 2009?
January 11, 2009, 11:45:56 AM
So, uh is it on for this year? -Dumb question, next!
So, same format as usual? - Dumb question, next!

Oh well, my only request for it is this: Please hold it AFTER check-out time is over for the hotels (if it's being held on Monday, that is). A friend of mine had to wait forever for his elevator (Marriott?) to a point of which he had to pay for Monday night just to attend the panel. Ouch.

That's all from me for now.

Suggestions?
Questions?
Pie?

Just like in part 2, blah, blah, blah.

I'll add the rules in later. And the last movie I watched was:

Robocop (1987)

Things in the Universe / Fanime Forum Awards Thing 2008
December 30, 2008, 11:58:07 PM
I make this thread almost every year. If it's gonna get moved, then so be it.
Basically, post your own list of your favorite/least favorite things about 2008.

Here's mine as an example, so to speak (you can make up your own list):

Favorite tv show: Total Drama Island
Runner Up: Chase  :D

Favorite movie (in the theaters this year): Wall-E
Runner up: none (I didn't see enough flicks in the theater for fairness)

Favorite things out of the 1980s:
Leda: Yohko (anime)
MD Geist (anime)
Streets of Fire (movie)
The Fixx, "Deeper and Deeper" (song)

Favorite anime that I missed at Fanime: T.T. GURREN LAGANN   XD
Runner up: uh............

Things I hate about 2008:

-Bays Meadows closes forever: Now where am I gonna gamble? Wait a minute.........
-TGI Friday's in Cupertino closes down: Now I have to travel further
-Paul Newman died: Just when I was really getting into his movies. I even wrote a paper on "Slap Shot" for gym class. Damn  :-[
-Some VTA bus lines I liked either got nerfed (65) or axed (38): *Needs to live closer to a Light Rail station*

Oh well, Happy New Year folks!

Forum Games / Have you heard of it? Pop culture game
December 19, 2008, 03:27:46 PM
Simply put, all you need to do is specify (Yes or No) if you have heard of the above pop culture thing, then post a title or character name.

An example:

P1: Star Wars (movie)

P2: Yes
You Don't Know Jack (PC game)

P3: No
David Lee Roth (Van Halen Front man)

And so on............ (You can use paranthesis to specify what you are talking about as an option)

I'll start. Has the next poster heard of:
Gurren Lagann (anime)

So, will there be one this year? Around or on New Year's Eve? At a mall, bowling alley? Where and when?
Just asking.

I just wanted to point these out:

http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_10622549  Boosting bike space (the racks get VERY crowded)

http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_10621422  Raising the base fare by .25 cents (the agency needs money to pay for fuel, I think)

And thats about it, I guess. Just sharing.

I was becoming a big fan of his films. Slap Shot is my favorite of those so far. I'd better go out and buy more of them to honor him.

I found an interesting read on www.cracked.com
Anyway, just read it and weep.

http://www.cracked.com/article_15231_7-reasons-21st-century-making-you-miserable.html

Basically, it says the internet, text messaging and whatnot are making us antisocial.
Hey, wait a minute, didn't we all know that?  ???
#43
Me bored. Me make thread.

My favorite things (so far) include:

-Total Drama Island (cartoon)
-Pamela Anderson
-Jim Carrey
-Mike Myers
-Rush (the band)
-Hockey

More later.  ;D
#44
Simple enough. (If you don't like Lynyrd Skynyrd, then go away, this thread ain't for you.)
As for me, I'll take That Smell and Simple Man please.  8)

I just found this:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-06-02/vertigo-entertainment-developing-u.s-death-note-remake

I hope it's better than the first Japanese live action film, imo.
Or better yet, read the manga. XD

General Anime Chat / Dub or Sub? pt 2

At someone's suggestion, I've decided to start this over just to start a new poll, since people couldn't vote on that other poll anymore?
Oh well.

Things in the Universe / Fidel Castro is resigning?
February 19, 2008, 01:34:00 PM
I just heard about this an hour or so ago. *Does a Google search*

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23232067/

It just surprised me, that's all. What do you think?

Pretty much the same thing as the movie rating thread. Example:

Poster 1: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (PS2, CCC2)
Poster 2: 5/10, speed problems turn me off. Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC)

And so on and so forth. You can add a comment, or specify the system or collection thing that you played the game on, like in the example above. It doesn't matter if you just completed the game or not.
If you haven't played the above poster's game, say "Haven't played it." or "Don't remember".
"Never heard of it" or "I have no idea what you're talking about"= Please don't use those. Those might offend people. XD

Anyway I'll start:
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GC)
