No Dragonball or Dragonball Z in the nostalgia room? I thought with the announcement of Dragonball Super that we would get some DB action...alas nothing.  :'(

2015 is hands down the best year that I have ever been to Fanime Con. (Been going since 2010)

Every year I try to do things differently before going to the con and this year has taught me that I need to do a few more things to get ready for 2016's Fanime Con...

1. Bring some sort of air freshener. I know it gets sweaty and some people can not help but smell, but...it's not that hard to go into the bathroom and put on some deodorant or something. So I think I'll bring a fresh smelling something or other to the con so my nose wont burn from the nerd sweat.

2. Go to restaurants instead of fast food. No more fast food at the cons for me. they are to packed and I found out that most of the restaurants are pretty empty a few blocks away from the con. They are not expensive either :] (Around $20-25 a meal with three of my friends)

3. Try and get Fairmont housing again. I have to say that this was they best hotel experience that I have ever had during the con. The staff was awesome and polite. didn't have to worry about parking the whole con because my girlfriend just kept her car in their valet parking the whole con. Came out to $60 the whole weekended which is worth it to me not having to worrying if anyone is going to break into the car.

Can't wait till next year!!!!!!

Awesome Fanime! I have been going to Fanime since 2007 and I have to say this was by far the best one that I have been to in a long while. I liked the Hotel situation. Made it easy for people that actually bought a ticket to Fanime priority to book rooms, which was a problem in the past. Not so keen on the price hicks every year though year it stayed the same as 2013, I remember the days were I could get a weekend pass for $35. There were a lot of complaints about the cluster **** that was the dealer hall and artist alley, honestly I had no problem with it, its been like that for years, but I could see why people get annoyed with it. Was slightly disappointed with the selection of Panels they had this year, but nothing to rant about really.Lastly there is no more LINECON (At least this year there wasn't) I hope they keep that up in 2015.

No need to cosplay. People are generally nice at the con that is what I like about it the most. You get your assholes here and there but for the most part you should be fine. I didn't cosplay for my first three years at Fanime and never got any heat. I will say the ladies do notice you more when you are in costume though lol

There will always be those poeple that will judge cosplay by skin color. The sad part is that those are the same people that never have cosplayed before.  They just bitch about what they see.

In all honestly no matter how cheap or bad your cosplay is to someone, your having 100x more fun than the same people that try and mock you.

Preach it brother!!!!

I, too, have come across this issue before. Being of native descent myself, my darkened skin isn't exactly "accurate" to some characters I choose to cosplay, although people tend to forget that the entire reasoning behind cosplay is fun, pure and simple.
I wonder, what do people who find this "lack of accuracy" think of people cosplaying as dark elves, or aliens, or orks and things of that nature? "Oh, their skin's not REALLY green, they can't pull that off!"
The entire notion behind that way of thinking is just ignorant and awful /)_=
So long as a person is putting true EFFORT into a piece and is having FUN with it, they deserve nothing other than praise and respect~

I agree with both of you. Cosplay should be fun! It is a sad fact that some can not see this light.

This has never happened to me, but every once in a while I hear some ignorant person at famine who sees a cosplayer of color and says something along the lines of "Why are they cosplaying as that character, they are not Caucasian or Asian." I just wanted to hear people's opinion  or experiences on the topic of "Cosplay Being Color Blind"
