Damn. I might not make the gathering if it's on Sunday -- I'm flying home that day. Depends largely on my flight time.

I feel the same way! My friends and I had been wondering if we would be the only HP cosplayers at the con. Super glad to see that won't be the case!

I cosplay Mama McCall from time to time, and while her signature look is generally scrubs, she isn't exactly recognizable outside a Teen Wolf group setting, so I understand your apprehension.

If you're looking to do alpha!Scott, I'd suggest keeping an eye on some of his more popular outfits of choice from this season. Maybe find a jacket that's similar to the one he wears fairly often. Or you can go with the red shirt he wears in the promo pics.

Practice some of his facial expressions in the mirror -- those subtle nuances may be what help to get you recognized when someone is staring at you and can't figure out why. And be sure to make your jaw crooked for pictures :)

My friends and I have for sure decided. We'll be there as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I say let's make this gathering happen.

We also have a fourth member who is currently undecided on who she'll be.

While my friends and I have yet to solidly confirm whether we will be going to Fanime 2014 for sure or not, IF we do go, we've been discussing The Golden Trio as one of our cosplays.

I'll be at Friday's gathering as Katara, along with a Zuko and Azula.

I'm not too sure about who's being what at the official gathering. I suggest checking out the cosplay.com forums and browsing through to see who has announced what characters they're being.

Sorry I can't do Sunday, I'm cosplaying Stein and that takes a lot of makeup and time to make. And I also have a photoshoot already scheduled.

I agree. We're getting too close to the con to be wishy washy about when the gathering should be. I run the coscom's Avatar thread, and I've been keeping it low key since this is the more active of the two, but I really would like a set time to announce for anyone who's not a member of the fanime forums...

Why not just make 2 gatherings? One for the Friday ppl and one for the Saturday ppl? Fanime's big enough for enough ppl to make it to each one...
