Unfortunately, my friends and I will no longer be able to attend the gathering because of conflicting schedules. And we also have a wedding to attend at 5 that day. =(

xD well we do when we have time/luck to catch each other through g-mail. Otherwise this thread would die though and we certainly want to get more people to come, nothing in the rules that prohibits socializing in the threads.

I've never seen a Joui version Gintoki at a con before actually, I'd personally prefer to see you do that.

Thanks for the opinion! I'll probably work on both and see which one I can finish first or feel like doing.

As for the thread, I just mentioned maybe keeping personal conversations to PMs because usually on other forums the moderators don't appreciate irrelevant posts. There's nothing wrong with conversing in threads, but I didn't want you to get in trouble because of something like this. >_< Sorry if I came off rude.

Hey, just asking for opinion (not really gathering-related), but which version of Gintoki's outfit do you think would be easier/cheaper (or prefer to see)? His default version or his Joui? Because I don't have a lot of time or money (yes, I know it's a year early) so yea...

And as for the forum itself, no offense guys but it might be better for the two of you to message each other than communicating through the forum? Just saying.

I just dropped by the stay last year's gathering was great! There were so many people it was somewhat unexpected *_*

I wish I could attend the gathering this year but my cosplay plans are full XD If one or two of my costumes fall back however, I'll be around the con as TYL Gokudera.

I've seen the flowers on her kimono done as white as well, so either should be fine.

Depending on the day of the gathering, I can come as Battousai and drag two of my friends as Kaoru and Misao.

Here is an improbable list of possible guests I wish to meet for the 2009 year.

Voice Actors:
- Takehito Koyasu (Extremely unlikely since he's so popular D:)
- Kōji Yusa (As stated above)
- Johnny Yong Bosch or Dante Basco for some American talents :D (But once again, very popular XD)

Mangaka:
- Yūsei Matsui (His works have yet to be published in America but I've come to appreciate his works through the Japanese Shonen Jump.)
- Takahashi Rumiko (Also very famous.)

Musical Guests:
- redballoon
- RADWIMPS
- Ore Ska Band

Unknown category and unlikely:
- Bleach Musical group members, like Tatsuya Isaka or Miki Satō. :D

EDIT: btw, i just thought that it might be fun to have a "minor anime/character gathering" but what do you guys think?

Since I'm not a part of many gatherings, I think a small gathering would be kind of fun. I don't exactly do much at a con anyway and it might be nice to take pictures of people who have their obscure costumes go unrecognized.

Possibly Sasazuka Eishi from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro if I have time. Although it looks like the series has been mentioned on this thread already? XDD

Haha, I just came to check for updates about the location, but it looks like there's a small mistake in who's attending as whom.

Although it's not a huge deal, and I probably should have been more clear. I will be attending as Zero and my friend as Yuki. XD

My friend and I will be part of the many Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu cosplayers attending the gathering. =D

I'm not cosplaying from the series, but if anyone formed a Studio Ghibli gathering or anything of the sort, I would definitely come to take pictures. =D

I have planned a Gintoki cosplay, and hopefully I'll finish it in time for Fanime 09. A friend of mine is also going as either Hijikata or Okita, she's unsure which, lol.

However, even if we don't show up in costume, we'll definitely be there to take pictures of you guys.  :D

What should we do if we can't open the file? My computer cannot read .pdf files.

It also might be safe (if you're bringing a lot of cash) to separate your money in different places. A couple of bills in your pocket, another in a bag, and the rest somewhere else. That way if one gets stolen, not all of it is gone.

Do whichever you like (or have the funds/time for). Personally, I'm a Bleach fan so I would say Rukia. XD
