Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Boba for food court

Yeah, they had it one year.  I remember buying a few drinks that year.

Ugh.  Some of my friends are in this.  This is disgraceful.

My thought would be to see if you can find someone who wants the room from you instead. According to CMR you should be able to change information up until the 14th. That way you'll have another happy fan, and you'll have your funds intact. (This might not be possible, but something to consider.) Realize, if you just cancel through the hotel, it's unlikely another fan will get that room, much less at the convention rate.

Wouldn't the cancelled room go to somebody on the waiting list?  It would make sense.

Me and a few friends actually go running during Fanime.  On one morning last year we ran around the San Jose St. campus twice.

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Convention Center Expansion

I loved taking photos next to the building.  Oh well.   :P

I took Amtrak once.  I actually like using Amtrak if I'm traveling in California and don't feel like driving.  I had to travel through the central valley, so the last leg is by bus, but it isn't bad.  Amrtrak is nice because you can stand up, walk around, go to the dining car and get food.  In a bus, you just sit there.  The Amrtak station isn't very far.  I had one large suitcase and some camera equipment and I walked to the convention center in about 30 minutes.

I've never taken Greyhound, but the station is also really close--closer than the Amtrak station.  There are some good restaurants in that direction, so that's where I know where it is.

Our coverage of FLOW at Fanime is now available on J!-ENT.  It was fun to cover FLOW for the second year in a row.  Please enjoy our interview and photos!

Please enjoy it!  I had a lot of fun shooting this show.  Thanks to Fanime and LM.C for the opportunity.

Do you have any other sites that might have some of the concert pics? It's so difficult finding anything!
Thank's for the set list! It's so cool they used your picture!

As far as I know, there are about 4 websites that have the same article using the same photographs.  J!-ENT will be interviewing LM.C. soon and the article will have more of my photos from the concert at Fanime.  I'll post a link when it's up.

They used one of my photos from the concert. :D

My computer at work doesn't have Japanese font so I can't translate the article.

I usually stay Thursday-Tuesday.  I drive up from Los Angeles so I would rather get there on Thursday.  I can get a decent night's rest and be ready to start the con on Friday morning.  If I were to travel up on Friday, I'd be too tired to do anything once I arrived.  Sunday night is still a good night for socializing and I usually end up staying up until really early on Monday morning.  I don't want to drive back to LA without another decent night's rest.  Monday night is pretty sad because the whole place is so empty, but it sure is relaxing.

I got Marriott Thursday-Sunday night.  I always stay Monday night and check out on Tuesday morning, but it shows that Monday night is not available.  I'll just assume that it will become available later.  It's usually a ghost town on Monday night and I can't imagine that the hotel is sold out for Monday night.

It took awhile, but I finally got everything complete and uploaded. It has been partially open for a few weeks, but I didn't finish it until now.

This is my first cosplay e-book/magazine.  These are selected photoshoots from my personal website in a magazine-style format and the reason why it took a long time to get everything up.  It was hard work.  Sorry about that.  It was the first time I've tried anything like this and I wanted this to go up before my personal website.

Of course there's also, which was released a few weeks ago:

An Cafe stuff here.

It took awhile, but it was a lot to do.  I love Fanime.  There's so much cool stuff to take photos of.

I agree that the shuttle system worked very well.  On Saturday, I went to hang out with my friends, but not attend the con.  I didn't have a convention membership badge, but was able to board the shuttle bus and have dinner with my friends at their hotel.   :P

For me, it's not about size or location.  It's more important to me if the event is organized and the staff is helpful as far as providing me with the necessary things to do my job.  Everybody's needs are different.

Example:  PMX.  It's a small con with good programming.  It's organized and the staff has always been very helpful and supportive.

This was the first year I covered Fanime as press and it was a good experience.

AX??  No comment.  Fill in the blanks.
