What if we have to expand again? what is larger than the SJCC?

A larger SJCC of course!

Seriously speaking, MPLe is right, we have a while until we hit that magic number. It may seem crowded at times because of all the furniture we have (Stage Zero, all the tables in Artist alley, food vendors, etc.)

Anyone get it? A couple of my friends and I did, I think it's just from being around all the people at con, then sharing food/drink and squishing together to sleep.

If you did get sick, my sympathies. 

Sore throat Monday night and then full blown sickness from there. Still kind of fighting off the cough and sniffles. Was funny though, because I never came across anyone else who was sick, that I had noticed. >.<

I had the exact same symptoms. I too am still coughing and sniffling. Whatever this is has also been exacerbating my asthma. I think a number of staff got the plague from the Con- even one of the Chairs.

The food wasn't that expensive comparatively. A sandwich was roughly 5$. Cake was expensive for its size, but considering, that it's at the con-center it wasn't that bad. I.E. the prices for a sandwich, size, and taste, is easily comparatively to a starbucks's sandwich. Actually no, the maid cafe sandwich is a lot better.

I ate the food at the cafe, and it was actually pretty tasty.

Some notes about the chef that made the food. He was super awesome. He actually came to the cafe multiple times to pull the food out and throw it away because they had been there for 1.5 hours. "This food is old and shouldn't be served, I'm making more food, DO NOT SELL THIS TO CUSTOMERS".

So although it is kinda pricey comparatively, for a concenter, I think it was very worth it. If you wanted to walk some where else, that's cool too, it's understandable that some people don't want to spend 5$ for a sandwich.

Hmm maybe that's why there was always food that's gone from the menu.

Don't get me wrong, I'd spend $5 or more on a sandwich. I think I'd just want a bit more quality and/or quantity but in the end it's what works for you.

Artist Alley:
A separate section on the forum would be nice. It would make searching for answers that were previously asked much easier. When my friend and I were trying to find answers to our questions, a lot of the time the links were dead. Also the forum where AA info was under, it took a lot of time to wade through all the threads in order to find any information. In addition it would be nice to have registration go up earlier than it did this year. I'm local, but my friend who is the artist is from out of state. It was like a waiting game for her to see when registration would go up, and the price of plane tickets were steadily rising. I think this was previously mentioned, but maps of where artists are located would be great too. Other than that my friend and I had a great time, and we enjoyed how AA was held during the convention.  :)

We completely revamped the Artist Alley registration this year and brought it online which is why it was so delayed. But now that we know how to work it out better, we can hopefully get things done sooner. I'm glad you enjoyed AA though. I think we actually expanded it two times until we had the final layout!!

Despite only having had 5 or 6 hours of sleep I still managed to get a workout going to this concert. I was all over the place because well, that's what you're supposed to do! It was tons of fun. Thanks FLOW. You guys are awesome. Thanks MusicFest staff.  ;)

The food was expensive but what the hoo-ha, you paying for a maid too.

Actually, FanimeCon staff aren't paid. Correct me if I'm wrong but the food catering is just downright expensive.

It will be a while before we get our numbers sorted out, but it will come out via press release ala Marketing division.

Thank you Jun, Mikey, Yomi and all the other maids for a nice time again. We spent a short time in there just for a quick R&R session. I'm glad we got so many maids in our picture!! Too bad some of them turned out blurry.... :-[
And my camera doesn't have any of the MaidCafe pictures so I am waiting for my friends to upload.

I usually stay through Monday night but this year I had to leave early so the depression is definitely setting on fast. I also got sick during con. Everyone around me was sick and I was running around too much.  :'(

"There's more people out there who love anime just as much as we do. Let's put together a show for them!" they said.
And so FanimeCon was born.
The Con grew and grew the more fans it drew.
Today, every Memorial Day weekend in San Jose, fans from all over come together to celebrate their love of all things anime.
Each fan marked by the badge they proudly wear.
So here's to you, our fans.

You know with a well known band like this, it could potentially draw even more people to Fanime. They may get curious and check out the rest of the Con and even find themselves inside Swap Meet.

That was a mistake on our part due to some miscommunication with the web team. There isn't actually a two day membership for those dates and I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion. If you do plan on attending for two or more days we recommend that you purchase the full weekend badge.

There seems to be a lot of people who think they need to be 18+ to go to Fanime or pick up your badges. That is NOT the case. What we ask for is a government issued photo ID when picking up your badges. As michiko nakano was saying, you can get a state ID.

Unfortunately there is no group rate or discount.

This is a tad confusing. I thought the next staff meeting was March 28th and the Feb meeting was Feb 20th.

I was planning to go to House of Siam in 2008 but had to be really careful with my money that year. I may try again this year.
Anybody eaten at E&O trading Company?

I haven't personally eaten there but I know people who have eaten at the San Francisco one. I haven't heard anything good about it.

If you're in the mood to spend a bit more for higher quality and slightly smaller portions I suggest you try Arcadia at the Marriott. I love the food there and it's relaxing. (Lobster corn dogs!)

But if you want cheap and tons of quantity go somewhere else.

With the one person rule, are the tables the same size as previous years [which could fit two people easily] or are we getting half a table now?

I made a mistake and have fixed my post. To reiterate, it is the same as last year and you can have up to two Artists at one table.
