I talked to the producer and there are still plenty tickets for the show. we need to support this show this time around. He said that if this show goes well this year they are thinking about creating a show that will feature both VGM and Anime music.

If you havent bought tickets do it now. We need to get this show sold out so they will come back next year. FANIME come on!

Live Programming and Events / Come on!
May 06, 2007, 10:13:26 PM
I can appreciate everything that the Fanime organizers are doing. On the one hand they have a free ticket for some pretty good groups. On the other they have a world renowned worldwide touring production with PLAY!. The truth is I like both J ROCK and VGM. However, PLAY! may never come around again and I can truly appreciate a full orchestra, choir, grammy award winning conductor. We need to support both or else these types of events cannot survive.

I was thinking that it might be nice if we can have a group to meet up before the concert for dinner? If this is something that people want to do suggest a place. I am thinking to meet uo at the convention center. Does anyone have any restaurant suggestions? Holler. Only 19 more days!

General Convention Discussion / Music fest and PLAY!
April 29, 2007, 03:03:37 PM
The PLAY! concert starts at 8PM. Does anyone know what time the music fest starts? In a perfect world we can attend both since the PLAY! program I believe usually runs about two hours or so. In any case, I have been waiting for PLAY! to come to the Bay Area since I first saw the banner on the fanime website last year! It is not everyday that you get the opportunity to see a full orchestra, choir, grammy award winning conductor, guest stars, receive limited edition merchandise, world premiere of Lost Odyssey, The Darkness, and yet still more to be announced. I have already spent my money on PLAY!. Oh I cannot wait.

General Convention Discussion / Tickets, etc.
April 08, 2007, 08:09:47 AM
If you want to check out the information on the show visit www.play-symphony.com. There is ticket information there. For some reason ticketmaster hasn't built in the discount for registered fanime attendees. The team behind this production is the same one behind Dear Friends- Music from FINAL FANTASY, and More Friends- Music from FINAL FANTASY. Tickets are on sale but they will probably sell out so get them while you can.

I heard that there will be some famous people attending as well as a lot of free giveaways.

I am excited! They have been everywhere except our beloved Cali.
