Just a reminder that the co-Convention, Clockwork Alchemy, has workshops and panels all day, every day. I run a free workshop, Crafting for Kids of All Ages, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. Kids and kids at heart welcome! We make a variety of Steampunk themed accessories from recycled materials, but if you want to tailor it towards your cosplay, I wouldn't mind at all.

Roommates Wanted:
+ Introduction: I am a former Fanime mom, escorted my daughters there for years until they were adults. And by that time I'd discovered Clockwork Alchemy, and now attend that on my own. I run the Crafting for Kids of All Ages workshops, and a few other things. I'm on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/momfishx2

+ Hotel Information: Staying at the Doubletree, so it is a shuttle away from Fanime itself. Two queen beds (one for me), non smoking. Arriving Thursday, leaving Monday. I am open to people with shorter stays.
+ Costs: how much for each person, how to pay, etc... The nightly rate is $130, so cost to you depend on if it is split 2 or 3 ways. I can also bring a fairly comfortable cot.
+ Requirements: Not a party room :) Polite, non smoking, no guests. I don't expect we will see much of each other, I pretty much come back to sleep and an occasional outfit change. I shared a room with two Fanime staffers last year and we all survived. No nudists, please (based on another post to this forum).
+ Contact: Facebook messages are good.
+ Note that I did not specific gender or any particular physiology. People are people, to me.

OK, just found this thread and decided to jump in. I was the older woman dressed up as the Fourth Doctor Who, with the plain, cream colored scarf. Several people did take my picture and I'd love to see one!

Group registration would be a big help to people like me who bring minors to Fanime. I've got three separate registrations going to three emails, and that is just for my family, not including the kids I am supervising. They can't check in until I am there, anyway, so it would be a lot easier if I could just have everything together.
