Are you looking at the bottom right corner? Mine looks like a 9 or G or something...perhaps it's the cashier's initials XD Anyways I don't really get how the numbers work since if people who pre-registered online gets numbers like 13. That means those who registered at the con get different numbers? Since I was in line and there were well over 13 people.

What do you mean by "mapping to the badge number"?
I believe it means the people that pre-regged online get to keep their number. If it's not mapped then I think the people who pre-regged at the con will get the lower numbers and so the people who pre-regged online will get pushed higher. Though I'm not sure about this since I don't believe they kept track of the order of the people who pre-regged at the con ( I could be wrong ).
