Title: PROP MAXIMUM LENGTH???
Post by: MNVFoundry on April 09, 2018, 02:36:47 PM
Hi! I'm working on a pyramid head cosplay and I wanted to know if there was a maximum length for allowed props? He has a giant sword, and I want to scale it to the size I am going to be, which means its going to be pretty long. Does anyone have this information?

Thank you!

The website isn't actually very helpful: https://www.fanime.com/rules/weapons-policy/

My general advice would be make the sword a size that you will have no problem walking around with or in/out of doors with.

Generally the rule has been that you need to be able to easily and smoothly be able to carry your prop through a standard doorway.  If you can walk through the door into peacebonding, then you're usually fine in my experience.

If it helps, I cosplayed Full Metal Jayce with a large AND heavy prop. Peacebonding thought it was on the heavy side but did allow me to use it. Seeing as the sword in an integral part of Pyramid Head's look, they should be okay with it as long as it's not super heavy or has any actual sharp edges.
