Whenever you get around to updating the page, you can take me off the gathering list. I won't be able to attend Fanime this year, but I hope you all have a great time!

If I can make it this year (very tentative at this point, but I want this thread to show up so I can keep track of it), I will come as either Ruby or Pyrrha, and probably with an Adam. I will confirm later on whether I can make it for sure or not.

I am incredibly upset over the change in dates for spring semester's end at my college. Having finals immediately following the Memorial Day weekend is one of the worst ideas! Ugh! I'm no longer sure I can go to Fanime this year...

To the fellow at the East Coast Swing lesson Saturday night (all I can remember appearance wise is that you had a large backpack and short hair) thank you so much for staying and dancing with me during the "decompression" time! (And for teaching me all the moves I didn't know!) That was a bunch of fun!

That might have been me. I can't remember if I wore my backpack on Saturday or not. Was it a big Olive Green one with leather straps? I really enjoyed the lessons, the Decompression, and the Black and White Ball. I wish I would have stayed later at the Decompression, but I'm not a late night person, and I was getting really tired. I really enjoy swing, although I'm more used to a faster "Jitter-Bug" style. I remember there was one girl I danced with on Saturday who didn't know all the same moves as me, but was brave enough to try. She picked up on what I was leading really quickly, and I had a great time.

Oh hey! Yes, I'm pretty sure the backpack was green or tan. I had a steampunk-ish outfit on, he walked back to the Hilton with another dude and I. The fellow I danced with knew a triple-step swing and taught me it (I only knew the simpler kind) as well as that cross-body lead for Cha Cha. Still sound like you?

A couple of shoutouts here

Black and White Ball (and lessons) shoutouts:
To the gal in the black and white illusion-looking dress from a yogurt shop in Florida- you talked with my friend on the sidelines for quite a while in the later hours of the ball, then took him out to dance. (He's a big fellow, had a camera around his neck until I took it so you could dance!) Thank you for interacting with him, and getting him on the dancefloor- it made his and our night!

To the ladies who danced East Coast and Cha Cha with the bigger gal in the red dress (ringleted hair, roses and the like) sorry my dress was a bit long, and thank you for dancing with me! You picked up on the dances very well!

To the fellow at the East Coast Swing lesson Saturday night (all I can remember appearance wise is that you had a large backpack and short hair) thank you so much for staying and dancing with me during the "decompression" time! (And for teaching me all the moves I didn't know!) That was a bunch of fun!

General Shoutouts:

To everyone who was asking about the giant rose I had as Arrietty, my friends found it for me at Hobby Lobby around Valentine's Day. Good luck to that cosplayer who said she needed one!

One more- to the fellow that got all excited about my Ruby (RWBY) costume Friday night in the breezeway of the gaming hall (even though I was lacking a scythe and wig at that point!) thank you so much for your kind words! That was the best reaction I got all weekend, even when my costume was complete and I had an Adam with me, and after having a long and unpleasant day, it really made everything seem better.

Okay, after much searching to no success, I'll burden the thread by asking for photos too:

All Weekend:
Claudia Auditore, from Assassin's Creed- all weekend. (Short gal, costume made of fancy drape material.)
Laura Croft, had red glasses, real tactical belt, old version I guess- all weekend. (Taller and usually with Claudia)

Sunday:
Ruby (w/Adam, RWBY) on Sunday afternoon- I was not the gal who had the awesome sycthe, just a prop gun strapped to my back. (Sunday unless the excited fellow I met Friday night just outside of the game hall reads this, he took a photo when my wig was absent!)

Mr. Game-and-Watch (or however his name is written, from a video game I'm unfamiliar with). He easily had 200 photos taken during his visit to Chopped Cosplay Saturday night and his Sunday afternoon strolling.

Monday:
Arriety (the chunky one) I had a bunch of photos taken in Artists' Alley Monday mid-day. I had a rose all weekend, and a leaf above my head Monday.

(forgive me if I have titles/names wrong, I'm going off memory for my group's various cosplays.
Hopefully someone out there has a few of us, and I'll be getting the photos we took at con up soon!

I am and have been slowly growing away from the anime/video game/etc. culture, oddly enough.

Probably a worthless question, but I am on the lookout for anyone cosplaying anything Broadway? Particularly Phantom, as I was hoping to pull together a Christine Daae ensemble (in light of the musical's 25th Anniversary).

Additionally, if anyone is coming from any Studio Ghibli films, I am attempting to "polish" my Arrietty and Haru (The Cat Returns) cosplays for Fanime 2013.

Looking forward to another excellent year!

Due to technical difficulties I missed last year's gathering, though am optimistic that I will make it this year.
I will update later if I will have an additional cosplaying guest, however I will be attending as Grandmano from 2011's Hetaween event. Looking forward to another great year!

Despite the fact that you got stopped every couple of feet for photos of your cosplay, you aren't going to find any of them online. (And you forgot to take any yourself.)

Saturday/Monday: Arrietty (equipped with pin and utility belt, and most often my leaf as well)
Sunday: Grandmano (Only two photos were taken I believe, and I don't have any, oops!)
Haru (The Cat Returns) -- with Baron and Muta cosplayers

I'll check back in and see if I have pictures of you all to share! :)

Found this while browsing Mr.Muggles album:

*Misread  and entered the wrong vote!
"There was a display?" vote should be --> "It was good, when it worked"

I'm not sure if Gaming Staff comments go here, but I had one tiny thing to mention.
Monday when the staff closed gaming, I completely missed the warning calls over the loudspeakers, so that's my fault. The music to the game I was playing was terribly loud and knowing time was nearing up, I probably should have stepped away and asked (not to mention my friends who were sitting nearby should have come and gotten me off when they heard it). However, when staff came and surrounded my game to escort me out, I didn't know what was going on until one of them started yelling and snarling at me. I completely understand that he was doing this to get my attention and not be rude or harsh, but it scared the living daylights out of me! I scrambled off the machine and tried to grab my stuff as quickly as I could, but almost dropped my phone and bag as we were what felt more like chased than escorted out.

Is there any other way they could bring a halt to the game? If I had seen him stick his hands in front of the screen or his face moreso in front of me rather than just around the sides I feel I would have noticed him sooner and left. Because he was standing on the side out of my direct eyesight, I thought he was just my friend taking photos again- I wasn't trying to be difficult or ignore him!  :-[
