LOL looking for airfare under 1000 that isnt really possible try 1200 and up close to 2000 since Dec till May is peak season so prices are up up up if Im correct.

umm has anyone volunteered to be the one in charge of the gatherings and letting people know when it will be yet?

because of my natural instincts... IM 50% wanting to be the one in charge now since ive checked the other threads and no one has YET to offer to volunteer from what i know. i personally want to videoshoot it like i did this year.

do you guys think it would be easier to just get an idea of a general day for the gathering on the thread, then when the day comes and more people want to do it... i just walk around with maybe a sign or something telling people that it will be here and this time etc. ALSO ANOTHER QUESTION.. HOW DOES A GATHERING/PHOTOSHOOT get on the fanime program?

i mean, i just want to know how people get organized for this kind of stuff. i want to do this but how do i approach?

DBZ. im so used to gokus voice already (in english) that when i heard it in japanese(i think over daniels house).. i just cringed! it was not something id expect. it sounded more girly than gar. hmm maybe it was because i herad the voice of goku when i was little and i got used to it. maybe tahts how dubs are for other fans like me. we just have to get used to it.

me too only problem with that is that you would need a high def tv screen and player... which means alot of setup and money. i mean, whose going to leave their plasma screentv and high def player in a video room where anything can happen? (thats over 2000 dollars worth of stuff)

Tales of Symphonia 2 comes out on Tuesday! Even though I don't think it will be nearly as good as the first, I still want it. For one thing they took out the whole free wandering map due to time constraints. >_< Instead you point and click where you want to go on the world map. >_<

In terms of manga what you SHOULD buy is:
$2 Manga!!

EVERY YEAR there is one booth that sells manga for only $2! You can't find a deal like that anywhere else to my knowledge. That's one of the big things that I buy there...that I can't get cheaper or find somewhere else.

Also some of the t-shirt designs I haven't been able to see outside of FanimeCon ^^;

Fanime seems to regularly get questions from people without government picture IDs trying to pick up badges, and I get the impression that the procedure for badge pickup by minors is something that slides under the table because there's no good solution.  I think some form of group registration can help Fanime deal with minors who don't have government picture IDs.  To discourage people from using group registration when they don't need it, (a) advertise it as "family registration" but include "youth group with adult chaperone / sponsor" in the fine print or FAQ, (b) do not give a discount, and (c) require the group leader to have a government picture ID, accept only one payment from the whole group, and make it clear that nobody else can get a badge without the leader.  (This was not clear in previous years.)  Except for the case of minors without IDs, it sounds like group registration is more of a headache for Fanime than it's worth.

yea i can see what you mean. how many people would benefit from this group reg compared to the individual pickup? 

im still for group reg though but i just thought of another issue with group registration. errr... well for one... fanime has no way of figuring out who goes in that group. what if like... a bad person comes with that group? i dunno i mean, it seems a little bit more safer checking and giving out badges one by one and letting people in one by one... just on a safety side in general is what i mean.
