Yeah, he does a lot outside of the band (acting, modeling, blah) but the band is still indie. They go main stream... next month, I think. So, hopefully once they go mainstream they'll come to the U.S.! And maybe they wont have such cheapo music videos (check out 39GlaxyZ on youtube. Cheapest video ever). XP

Haha same here. I remember when AnCafe were here, someone asked me if I wanted tickets, but I hadn't heard of AnCafe at the time, so I didn't take them
I wonder how early tickets will go on sale (if there are any)... hopefully there wont be any tickets and it'll be first come first served.

We don't sell separate tickets for the concerts ^^;; Anybody with a full-weekend badge, or a day-pass for Sunday can get into the concert for free :)

The San Jose Civic can definitely accommodate all who want to go to the concert. It's a big venue, and from past experiences with previous MusicFest concerts, there will definitely be room for everyone! :)

Thank so very much for bringing LMC!! <3 I've been a fan for years know and I'm happy that they can come to the city I live in! ;D I hope that this year is less ruff than when AnCafe came, because it was pretty chaotic and most of the time I was in the wrong line the whole con and I missed their autograph session. But I hope that this year is more organized. I think that for the tickets for the autograph session and the concert are given at the same time, instead of being separated, since it was very confusing and frusterating. Anyway thank you so much for this. I am always faithful to Fanime and I am thankful for everyone's hard work into this con each and every year. Thanx! :D
I'm super excited that LM.C is coming to Fanime. They've become one of my favorite bands, ever since I heard the openings for Katekyo Hitman Reborn(also my fave anime).

I remember during An Cafe, there when they were walking around with a box to put all the gifts inside. I don't really mind placing our gifts in the box, just as long the gift arrives to them eventually :) It is understandable that giving to them in person would cause chaos and tons of fangirls/boys could cause a rampage trying to get as close as possible to them, lol. But, just a box would really make me happy ^^ Then the gifts would all be in one place when they receive it ;D

I know it's more fun to personally give them your gifts and I agree with you. I believe in Japan it's common practice for boxes to be put right outside the venue for gifts, so in all likelihood, LM.C will be the same way. Thank you for your understanding :)
We (Musicfest) will let you guys know about policies beforehand to make the concert and related events run more smoothly. Speaking of which, Val mentioned this earlier but LM.C's management has a very strict photography policy. Not bringing your camera to the LM.C concert is the best option.
Fans will be allowed to leave presents for maya and Aiji at the concert venue, but no foods/perishable goods. I've also been told that they always read every single fan letter that they receive, so fan letters are great, too. :D

@kollunz: LM.C's management has a strict no photography policy for the concert. Your best bet is to leave your camera at home/in your hotel room, etc.
Will we be able to bring our own items we want them to sign, like pictures or CDs? Or will they already have things like posters to sign then give out?
I feel the need to ask, just because of their strict management and making sure that I won't do something to upset any of them.

Photography will be severely restricted. You can contact marketingATfanimeDOTcom, but it is likely that you will not be able to get permission to photograph at the concert or other LM.C events, even as press.

Here's a question. The autograph panel thing is on Monday right? Will it be in the morning? do you have to get another pass to go on monday? Will it still be at the convention center?
if you have a one day pass, then you will need to have a membership that spans that date too. fyi, a full weekend will be cheaper than two individual single day memberships.
LM.C coming to Fanime is wonderful! I was wondering if there would be restrictions to when we could begin lining up though? I remember that for An Cafe I was in line about five hours before the performance started and I was no where near the front of said line. So the idea of waiting till an hour before is pretty ridiculous to me, but I don't want to go so early that it is a hassle to staff. (And the idea of somone dispersing the line is a little worrisome if I'm in it!)

i would like to think you'll have at least one friend at the convention that will have some level or storage, vehicle or room somewhere within walking distance.
if not - please please please! this is a reminder that both Fanime Con Staff is NOT RESPONSIBLE for your personal items if there is a ban on things like photography equipment you should always have a plan B in case items will not be allowed in certain areas.
if cameras are banned, would it be a potential risk to have a cellphone confiscated if you have one with you? :-\
Cell phones should be OK, but if you try to take pictures or record video, it is likely that it will be confiscated, you will be ejected from the venue, and maybe more.
For those of you tempted to sneak in a picture, please realize that that we will have people everywhere and that bright screen when a person is recording is very obvious.
So the LM.C autographing session is definitely going to be on Monday right? Anyone know like... a certain time of when this will be happening because I have classes around noonish..haha DX

Can I get a detailed explanation of why this is so? Or can someone point to me to where I can?
In my opinion, it's pretty ridiculous- but, I can understand somewhat if Staff has a good explanation. I need to know why Paying FanimeCon2010 Attendees aren't allowed to take their memories home with them. As a professional blogger and journalist, I really hoped to snap some pics for my website...

I don't think I can be more detailed other than the band and their label has requested that photography to be banned during their concert in the Civic.
We generally honor their requests as this helps our relationship with the band and their label for any future visits.

I can understand your frustration.
According to some of my friends, who are staff members. It's the management of the band that enforces this rule and the Fanime staff have to go along with it in order to gain their cooperation. Usually, the reason why they ban photos is for copyright reasons. They don't want someone to flash hundreds of pictures or record videos so they can be distributed and illegally sold for profit later on. LM.C is a big name after all. It would be unfair to the attendees who paid to see the concert, while others are watching it free on youtube.
Plus, we should be considerate to our musical guest. Traveling overseas to perform a concert is exhausting work. We don't want to tire them out by flashing all those lights in their faces.
Is there a set time and date for the concert and the autograph session, or is it still TBA at this moment?
While on the topic of taking pictures and not taking pictures...
It is to my best and uttermost understanding that we shall not take any pictures during the concert without dire consequences, but what about the autograph session?
Is the autographing session the same with no pictures even via phone? Or is this going to have different rules that we will follow? It's the same people we're dealing with, but the situation indeed will be a little different, won't it?

Yes, for ALL of LM.C's events, all you will need is your attendee badge. We are not doing tickets this year for any of their events. :)

I just wanted to make sure I knew how the autograph session and q & a were going to work. So, are they going to be in two different areas? On the schedule I just saw the q & a listed.
And also, I was kind of worried about getting into the autograph session if I went to the q & a. For example, a lot of people might choose to wait in line for the autograph session instead of going to the q & a, so I wanted to know how that was going to work.

And to clarify, since everyone seems to be asking over and over and it gets alittle confusing ^.^'
Concert, doors open at 6pm on Sunday at the San Jose Civic, across from the Convention, concert starts at 7pm
The Q/A is in Marriot Panel 3 at 11am (or was it 12) on Monday I believe?
The autograph is then at the Hilton in the San Carlos room at 1pm.
In you attend the Q/A you can still get an autograph as long as you are in line by 1pm, cuz LM.C is just sooo awesome they wanna say hey to us all.

1) what the heck are badges & is it too late to get one?
2) how much is a 'Day Pass' cuz I JUST want to see LM.C, I don't want to go to the convention AT ALL this yr
3) do you have to pay at the entrance in the convention to get your 'whatchamacallit' to see LM.C?
Yea, basically I'm more concerned about #2 & #3, cuz I heard that the registration for Sunday is $35 & i REALLY don't want to waste that much money cuz this yr I just plan on seeing LM.C & THAT'S ALL.

1. a badge is the thing you get when you pay & reg . if you went last year you shoudl have gotten a badge. it's not too late to get one. you can get one at the door. early reg. is closed.
2. sunday day pass is $35 you can see the prices for other days here http://www.fanime.com/2010/05/20/early-registration-is-closed/
3. first just go to the san jose convention center and get purchase your day pass then walk across the street to the concert hall and show them your badge and you're in :D

Yes, you can leave or come back into the concert.
The Ball ends at 11pm so you will have plenty of time to show off your ballroom skills! :D

You can buy some LM.C merchandise in one of the booths in the dealer's room. They had some LM.C bandannas and couple of their CD's.

After the concert I went back to the Fairmont and when I got close to the door Maya and Aiji came out of the fairmont main building to go into the next building, I got stsrstruck that I pulled my iPhone and got their picture before they got into the elevator, lol
I love the concert! It definitely was the BEST day of my life! They're so cool and nice <3 also got to shake hands with them and gave their gifts personally at the autographs! I was in complete shock that I was able to give it in person LOL I would have been just happy to drop it off in the box in front of them XD But giving to them just made my day better :]
Also, at the Hilton lobby, they walked right in front of my sister and I. YATTA! I was surprised and said "Bye" and waved. They said bye and waved back! ^_^ They're awesome <3

I am in Heaven! The concert was amazing! Though it became rather crazy when LM.C started hurling those lollipops at the fans. Some of them bumped into me and knocked my wig off. D:
Q & A was funny and sweet. Maya and Aiji have such good attitudes, despite some of the odd questions they were given. I was so embarrassed when it was my turn to ask them something, but they found it endearing.
But some of the best and worst moments was from the autograph session. The rovers would give us information such as the band only signing official merchandise of themselves, not touching the band, and even dropping gifts for them in a bin instead of personally giving it to them.
Turns out some of it wasn't true. I'm not sure if the staff was just pulling our leg or it was just misinformation. But we were able to shake hands with the band and even give our gifts personally to them. I gave Maya a bag full of goodies for the both of them and he said "arigato". Then I wanted him to sign my poster with a pen I bought which resembled a doctor's syringe. He mistook it for a gift, eyed it funny and said "Arigato...What is this? o_o". I handed him a lollipop too. He still said "Arigato" but I think he was a little weirded out by all the gifts I was showering him with. Aiji was mellower when we interacted, and I shook his hand.
And lastly I gave Denki-man a high five and a hug. I practically flopped against the wall in a daze stupor.
^.^ Ran into Jun and Yu-ya all day Sunday. From what I could tell, since they only spoke Japanese, Jun liked my Punky Heart hat. They kept letting me take pictures with them, and talk with them each time I ran into them. At the concert, Maya took my Punky Heart Hat and danced around stage with it. Even kissed it O_o. Some fan girl tried to steal it.
On Monday, Maya couldn't sign my hat at the session. Afterwards I ran into Yu-ya outside the hotel, with the help of some guy who spoke japanese, I told him how great I thought he was at the concert. Jun came out of the hotelwith Maya, Ken-chan, and Denki-man (out of costume? Woah!) Maya seemed scared I would fangirl him, but I ignored him and asked Jun to sign my CD, making Maya relax, and take the CD from Jun and sign it again for some reason. Got everyone to sign it! Including Denki-man! Got pictures with everyone cept Maya, who requested i didn't take any pics with him or of him. He was so cute with his braces and big glasses (they weren't sun glasses, but like reading glasses. Whaa?)

Hey, I love the band as much as everyone here but did anyone feel that there management where being unfair about autographing the program book??? I didn't have money and all i had was the book and one of the guitar picks that I got from the concert. They didn't even let me get that signed. I was really bummed I almost cried outside of the hotel. They kinda shoved me aside just because I didn't have merch, I shook there hands but the Japanese management kept on talking to me saying "no sign" I was like "ok" EVEN THOUGH they would have gladly sign the pick. :/

I made my hat actually. Well, I bought a black hat, had someone who runs an embroidery stand in the mall do the MY and ten I used fabric paint to paint the heart and the bottom with the stars.

Yeah I remember you! Girl filming the line! You were really surprised when I told you I came from FL lol. Glad to hear from you again! I did come exclusively for LM.C ^.^ And everytime I saw them, there were no rovers, as I kept running into them outside of the con. Maya still looks really cute without makeup. Just more like a cute tall asian guy with glasses and blond/red hair. He's pretty shy actually. And yeah...they were actually pretty geeky glasses lol. But very cute! On the las day, I sat outside talking with yu-ya for about 8ish mins, then jun maya and everyone came out, and I talked with them for about..8-10 min? I didn't stay long, as I could tell they had plans. O_O I still find it so incredibly amazing how lucky I was to just get to talk to everyone and actually talk to maya. Still can't believe he talked to me. woah...
I'm completely going to the next concert in America and wearing my hat again, and staying in the area so I can run into them again ^.^
I'm not very familiar with the San Jose area, but it was the hotel across from that fountain place. It was the hotel on the right, with the big locked doors and had that hallway that was outside overhead, and you had to walk undrneath it to get to the next street with that trolley thing that leads to the starbucks where I ran into them on sunday

Gosh Danggit!! I stayed in that hotel!! lol I didn't get to run into them at all outside of the scheduled events. I was so jealous when I heard from people that they were around the convention on Saturday. I went back to the hotel a little earlier that night to try and get a decent amount of sleep to wait in line at 6am the next day for the concert, since there wasn't really anything else on Saturday that I wanted to do, since I just came for LM.C.
And that is so awesome!! When Maya asked you to come up and he took your hat!! I was super jealous, haha. And also when he had that girl come up on stage because it was her birthday! gah, I was so tempted to say it was my birthday when he asked and no one was saying anything. But I just couldn't lie to him, haha.
It's alright though, I am very satisfied with just getting to see the concert! :) And then I got to go to the Q&A and sat right in the front row, Right in front of Maya! :D And then getting to meet them was just AMAZING!!! I felt so much like crying! And I've never understood why people cry and stuff when things like this happen, and I like never do it, but I could definitely feel tears coming up, and I had to stop myself cuz I didn't want to just be crying my eyes out in front of them, lol.
But next time they're here, I'm definitely going to try and wander around a bit more and Definitely not going back to the hotel early!! haha

The band requested that there be no photos or video of the concert or any other event they were at. I presume this is the same for their other appearances. The only way to get photos and videos are from licensed sources.

Cool kids 8D I wouldn't really call LM.C duty "duty" though. More like a privilege. But I can understand why they would want the freedom to roam a bit. Having Rover escorts would also attract attention, dontcha think? Hahaha...
I heard that they passed out fliers after FLOW's concert too...what an interesting [but also secret] marketing technique. Hahaa. They probably just wanted to meet some fans/people personally like that. Cool~
Even though at the concert everyone practically went insane, we still stayed sane. Oh the minor difference between being UI and not. LOOOOL I really enjoyed the crowd that night, I didn't look back often, but it was fun up front too. I started lining up around 11AM, and goshdang do I hate the sun...
The hardcore fans (who braved the cold CA nights) probably wanted to go to this live really badly, since their previous show in the US was canceled...Nobody would want to miss this chance! :D :D :D

yeah, i was staying there and most everyone else i knew was there too and all of us had lm.c run-ins at some point over there so theres no question :3 i saw everyone but maya inside/going in. it was a super nice surprise xD
off that particular topic, but i dont want to double post, i just want to say that the entire lm.c experience at fanimecon was everything i ever wanted and more and so worth a trip across the country. i had come for ONLY lm.c so i was a little nervous! :) so thank you, fanime!!

If LM.C came without help from Fanime, they most likely wouldn't have those sessions.
When An Cafe came, they had the same (concert,Q&A,autographs) at Fanime '08...
