Hey I kinda like this idea! A cosplay charity run?! San Jose did have a 5K color run the same weekend as us this year.

I think it is 4-6 miles from SJCC to the Doubletree? If it is about 6 miles that is closer to a 10k. I feel like a 5K would have wider appeal though.

A lot of staff are on-site now and probably not looking at their emails.
Your best option is to go pick up your badge as you were planning to and explain the situation (bring the necessary paperwork and proof) and they should be able to help you out.

No we are not interested in double charging you!

Did you know that there is a forum just for FanimeCon and Clockwork Alchemy Staff? It is a place to connect with other staff and discuss various Fanime staff related topics. The only requirement is that you are active staff, i.e. you are listed on the current staff list.

If you are not on the staff list yet please contact your department or division head.

1.   Login to http://stafflist.fanime.com/.
2.   Click on "Personal Information"
3.   Scroll to "Last Section" at the bottom and look for the "Code to Access the Staff Section of the FanimeCon Forums". Click on Generate.
4.   Copy the generated code.
5.   Go to http://forums.fanime.com/ and login.
6.   Once logged in click on "Profile" -> "Modify Profile" -> "Account Settings"
7.   Find the field for "FanimeCon Staff Forum Code" and paste your generated code in to the field
8.   Enter your password in the "Current Password" field and click "Change Profile"
9.   Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the changes to take effect. Once done you'll be able to see the Staff Forum under the FanimeCon Events and Discussionmentarianism section.
10.   Yay! Now go and participate.  8)

October 30, 2014, 08:10:15 AM
That is correct. Our policy is no refunds.
I suggest that you email registration staff (registrationATfanimeDOTcom). They may or may not be able to work something out for you.

The price has been adjusted to $45 and we are now manually processing $10 refunds for anyone who paid $55.
Please be patient for your refund if you have paid.

If you have any questions please email registrationATfanimeDOTcom

Sorry for the error and confusion!

Welcome back FanFicGuru! I thought you had left us for good.

YES Reg is OPEN NOW and accepting pre-paid pick up only!! (No Payments today unless you prepay online!)

Registration / Re: Clockwork Alchemy VS Fanime?
May 21, 2014, 10:24:31 PM
Hello! We are receiving A LOT of email requests to change their pickup location to Clockwork Alchemy. You may pick up your badge regardless of where you selected on your account. The marker on your account only helps us plan our resource allocation.

Our latest estimates show that the demand for pickup will greatly exceed the supply. Clockwork has less staff and resources to handle large registrations than Fanime. While you can pick up at whichever location I highly recommend that you pick up from your originally marked location!

Any other questions may be directed at [email protected]

So naming wise, it's FanimeCon 21 next year (FCXXI).
Maybe a theme of blackjack/casino/James Bond/deck of cards/king or queen of hearts/etc...

For 20th anniversary, I remember WrestleMania XX's theme of "Where it All Begins...Again", which is appropriate for the new convention center expansion.

Or we move FanimeCon to Las Vegas!  ;)

Yes. In the future you can email [email protected] about your badge name.
We respect the privacy of our attendees and will make accommodations when necessary.

Registration / Re: Lost badge..
May 27, 2013, 03:10:00 AM
Go to ConOps and double check lost and found.
If your badge isn't there, go to Registration and request a reprint. (Pro tip: Have your receipt handy!)
The first reprint is 1/2 the price of what you paid.
Any subsequent reprints are full price.

It is highly doubtful we would be able to broadcast it, but we do have a pair of tickets to the game that we are auctioning off for Charity Auction. Drop by Stage Zero at 3PM!

Registration / Staff Moving On Site to Con!
May 21, 2013, 09:48:10 PM
Just an FYI. Staff will be moving in to the SJCC and vicinity starting Wednesday. Responses to e-mails will be slower than normal. Apologies if we do not respond to you in time.

Please see the Reg FAQ for basic info.

There are no further changes to your Registration account as it is locked down and gone on-site too!

See you all at con!  ;)

Edit: Remember. Registration is at the Fairmont Imperial and Regency Ballrooms!!!

This year, swap meet will actually be back in the convention center. The various moves are because of the lack of space in the convention center. For swap meet specifically, it was a safety issue also.

FYI, the FanimeCon android app says it's in the Fairmont....

Yes we caught this earlier and fixed a few things in the back end. I believe the changes should be propagating through the app as we speak.

Will picking up you badge at clockwork instead of fanime affect how the badges will look?
Yes. The Clockwork Alchemy pick up station will have the Clockwork Alchemy design and the FanimeCon ones will have the FanimeCon designs.

Will pre-registration badges also be available at Clockwork for pick up on Thursday as well? Or is this a Fairmont only thing?

Clockwork Alchemy will also have Thursday badge pickup.
