Registration / Re: 2024 COVID Policy
Last post by JimTobal - January 03, 2024, 03:55:09 PM
Good to know they've said the policy was the same there. I think you're right that I should just assume that it'll be the same until I hear otherwise (I don't think it's changed for the last couple of years at least so that's probably the safer thing for me to do).

Thanks!

When I registered in June, it said the policy is currently the same for 2024 as 2023.  However, they will reevaluate and update the policy closer to con.  My guess is they will announce the official policy in April, but currently you should assume it is the same.

Registration / 2024 COVID Policy
Last post by JimTobal - November 26, 2023, 07:58:54 PM
The website is still showing the policy from 2023; does anyone know if the policy is still going to be the same for next year?

I don't want to risk registering if I may not be able to attend due to that policy.

A couple of months late, I know. But I can't help but be happy to play this game. I once had a weird rule for not buying new Nintendo consoles, but I'm glad I bought a Switch.

I'm currently trying to win in 1st place with the Fire Stingray, but this is quite a challenge. Only one victory for me so far with the Wild Goose...in a Mini Grand Prix XD

Last post by VincentTroyWilliams - October 21, 2023, 09:50:02 AM
A Fan Event sounds like what I am looking to do. I will keep checking the website for when regrestration of Fan Events becomes open.

Thank you.

This sounds more like it would be a "fan event" rather than a panel, as in the panel rooms you can't move anything or change the room setup.  (heck, the union convention center equipment guy didn't even like that I was connecting my own computer to the projector last year - which almost ALL panelists do - but he just had a stick up his rear and it was no big deal like in every year before)

Fan events are similar to panels in that you are allotted a time slot but they are in open rooms that allow you to have a custom setup configuration.  As with panels, registration opens far closer to the convention date, usually a couple months into the year.

Also I'm not staff, but I can tell you from my convention experience that you wouldn't be able to charge money any type of event like that within Fanime.
