General Anime Chat / When I watched (?), I cried...
July 09, 2006, 09:42:47 AM
Quote from: "Spiritsnare"Kanon caught me on the first run-through, AIR the second. And as for Key works that aren't anime yet, Planetarian killed me. I can't play that game without crying anymore.

Some of the stuff at the end of I! My! Me! Strawberry Eggs -- the dub, mind you -- made me cry for some reason. I don't know why. But after that, I started wholly respecting decent dubs.

Yeah. Both those got me, too... Planetarian-- so far my image collection of that game is really depressing. ;-; AIR's MOVIE, however... they made it so dramatic, it got me sobbing.

- - -

KGNE got me crying-- I felt so sorry for Haruka. I kind of empathasized what Kazuki was going through, but I did kind of hate her for a moment. =|
Karin: when Karin's family SEEMINGLY died, it got to me. I mean, god damn.
The end of Jigoku Shoujo, when Tsugumi's father had to rewatch his wife's death and admit his fault. That was much.
DeathNote (Thought not an anime) made me sob when L died, even if they didn't make it all that dramatic. I loved L. T.T
The ending of Card Captor Sakura when Syaoran had to leave Sakura was a bit of a tear-jerker at the time.
Fullmetal Alchemist made me cry several times, but MOSTLY when Edo was killed by Envy. Omg.
Tsukihime got me to cry when Kohaku died. She's like... my favorite character. And one of the other character's death, but something she said pissed me off... so scratch that.
SHUFFLE! made me cry several times, but I don't quite remember why. Maybe when Kaede was going through that mental breakdown, or when Primula was dying. Gah.
YamiBou got me to cry when Eve had to leave Hatsuki all alone.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu made me cry a bit, but out of laughter. It was kind of random when Kyon said "Ponytails turn me on" out of nowhere, and kissed Haruhi. XD; There were other parts, too... like when Mikuru was singing her theme song in the first episode, or when Haado Gei appeared in the 12th.

Yeah.. that's all that'll pop out of my brain for now. I'll add more if I can think of any. >>;

I hope I don't get flamed at but... the first thing that popped up in my mind was...

Jigoku Shoujo.

Bubble's transformation sequence is pure ownage. Her loli-ness is just too hot. :3

And this... looks odd. I found it on /gif @ 4Chan. XD

General Anime Chat / Longest Anime Title
July 09, 2006, 09:24:27 AM
I used to think "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" was long... but then I watched Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito. It's been posted before, and it's possibly NOT the longest... but it's the only one I can think of. XD;

This is why most people shorten these types of titles to like... "YamiBou". When you see an anime that has a shortened name like that, it just might be a long title. x3

General Anime Chat / Your very first anime
July 09, 2006, 09:20:24 AM
First anime ever watched was either... Totoro or Doraemon, when I was really really young. XD; Ara... First anime watched on television was when America aired Sailor Moon at UPN. First anime downloaded was Fushigi Yuugi back in elementary school or something. 5th grade, I think. x.x; *Loser* T.T;

Anyone notice Haado Gei in episode 12? D:

I'm just wondering... but have you noticed how extremely popular Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu is getting? x.x It's relatively new, but it's spreading like wildfire. CRAZY.

Quote from: "scyper15"This is hard.. I guess yeah. My favorite cosplay is L. But like.. if Death Note gets too mainstream, and there's like 30 L's or something.. it's not really fun anymore. So I guess.. if not a lot of people cosplay as what I want, I'll do it. I just don't want to see like 30 of the same cosplay. X__X; -Flies away.-

I think your L cosplay is really adorable. :3

But if you have uneasy feelings about these types of things, but still wish to cosplay as the same character... make something original of it, but still have its trademark features. I don't know how that'd work for L, though-- his cosplay is simplistic.

I know! Uh... Go hire a Wammy to carry your hotel chair everywhere. XD; My WAHA~! cosplay... I'm going to have a speech-bubble that says "Waha". Think of some sort of prop? HEY. What ever happened to that tea-cup set I bought you? You could always carry around a monkey plushie as the GoDevilDante flash reference.

Sometimes people complain about their cosplay's anime being too mainstream and don't want to wear them, anymore. Some people feel bad when their cosplay's anime isn't well-known enough and know who they're cosplaying as. What about you guys? ;D

Quote from: "Nina Star 9"i think that hentai cosplay is okay as long as it is done beucase you love the character or costume and you are not doing it just to whore yourself out or get attention. i guess i feel the same about revealing cosplays, as well. o-o;

^_^;; Well, a lot of the anime series I watch are normally based of H-games. (I play them, too... but not much recently.) I love their uniforms, and a lot of the characters are really adorable.

Thing is with... revealing cosplay... they kind of make me feel uneasy. x.x;

A lot of my cosplays are characters from H-games and DatingSims.

Not necessarily all hentai-based and H-game cosplays are revealing-- most of them are just school uniforms from the series, but the fact that they're from a hentai may cause some viewers form some sort of derogatory opionion on them. What about you guys?

And also, what about the cosplays that ARE revealing (Hentai or not)? I hear some find these types of cosplay bastardizing the idea of cosplay. Some people will say that cosplay was meant to be enjoyable whether it is revealing or not. I don't have any revealing cosplay, but I have friends that do. I wonder how other people feel about them. Is it a nice body that makes it okay, or is it just not appropriate?

I'd like to hear how you guys at the Fanime Boards feel. ^_^;

Sometimes a glomp is really enjoyable when you expect it, but when they're unexpected, they're only enjoyable when not too much force is put into it. Glomps can be really painful, and well, make you fall flat on your face with someone else's weight ontop of you. x.x; Not fun.

Face plants make Jun really sad. ;-;

A listing would actually be really convenient... but what I'd fear would be those who create gatherings, sign them up, and neglect them until they forget about them completely. x.x;
