Hellooooooo everybody~! So last official meetup or even con was a bit... interesting. Everyone was calling it Dramacon2k16 and such so this year, instead of asking for suggestions during the unofficial meetup, I will be asking it here and the biggest issue last year was if there are going to be incestships and pedo ships. Well I will address them immediately:

Pedo ships are no longer a thing (technically) since they all are of age, but I will still hold the original rules: No shipping pictures of Dad EgbertxJohn but you can still get photos with the both of them during a section I will be calling out, "family photo time". they are allowed cheek kissing (which I have yet to see any pedoships do this or rather pedoships in general in the fandom but it doesn't hurt to cover these things) but no fondling and such. Just keep it under 18+ okay guys?

The rules described above also apply to the "incestships".

Now onto when and where it will happen: As by tradition, we hold it after the official homestuck meetup which is usually on Sunday at 5 pm, but if it changed this year, then just keep in mind it will be after the official meetup, which should be at the park as usual.

You see, last year, I, along with my friends, were going to have a panel and at the last 10-15 minutes, we were going to play live with instruments, Heir of Grief. That was how I was going to leave the fandom. So now, this year, after everything has settled down and if I can afford to buy myself a portable amp, I will play the song.
Besides that little bonus, I have a little surprise for you all, but I will be leaving that for another day.

I just now realized I posted this on the other forum so I am sorry that I didn't announce this, but we are not going to be doing photos at the unofficial meetup because of the official meetup. Also I'm pretty sure I stated this before but we are going to be avoiding shipping pictures until the list is done (do not worry, I am helping with the list and will be avoiding your incest and other questionable ships) so there is nothing to go on about for "incest" photos. I have also asked about the abusive photos because I am genuinely confused about that. Do you mean like blackrom photos? Because those are essentially marked as shipping photos and as I previously stated, we will be avoiding those photos for now.

I will contact the person who is in charge of the pictures list to get an update on the situation with the photos. If you can, just in case if we do end up doing shipping photos, can you send me a p.m. of the abusive ships, including the obvious ones? I will make my own list for ships to not be called out for the official meetup guy.

(P.S. you didn't really need to source anything. I already know all of that, including many other forms of abuse. I'm not ignorant or anything. And again, probably hasn't been stated either, but if you have any troubles with anyone or see anyone doing something bad, please let me, the official manager, or con staff know immediately and we will stop it.)

So really, "Stridercest" is not incest at all or bro-dave; however, hardcore ships (as in nsfw things that exceed kissing and things becoming sexual) like John and Dave are TECHNICALLY incest as John created them. Same goes for the Trolls and Karkat. Now a way to see it as not incest is that no one has the same DNA or has similar genes to each other that was passed down. Therefore, no one is related biologically. In family and society wise though, John and Karkat are everyone's fathers.

So another person asked this and I'm not sure if you are the same person, so here is the (kinda) short version of it.

Here is the process of photos normally:

We have a list we go off of containing the normal pictures like beta kids, alpha kids, beta trolls, ancestors, etc. If we still have time (which the official meetup is at the end of the day so chances are we will go over the time limit and proceed back into the "unofficial" category), we will do photos of request, in other words, by vote or majority.

If people want the striders to go up, they can if they want, but by no means would it be considered strider-cest or incest of any way as the definition of "incest" is: the crime of having sexual intercourse with a parent, child, sibling, or grandchild and there is definitely not going to be any sex or anything sexual in public for photos. If the cosplayers would like to do that, they can do it elsewhere. this is also implied with the "pedophilia" ships you were talking about. Of course no one will ship them as together like that, but they would ship them as father and son (remember: "ship" doesn't always mean something sexual or kissing or something like that. It can mean the bond that is shared between characters as well).

So chances are, there won't be any pedophiliac photos or sexual photos or incest going on.

Here is an easy fix for you and others if you would like to go to the official meet-up and your not-so-favorite ship or character comes up for their photos: you can just turn around until the timer goes down (we will have a countdown as usual btw) or you can leave for a little bit, get some food, relax, DrInK sOmE fAyGo, or something else.

(also kissing is in no form of incest if you are thinking about that.)

LEGAL NOTE: the cosplayers can kiss for the photos if they like, but only if it's given consent by both of the people. If one happens to be 15 and the other 19+ and they kiss, it is completely legal as long as consent was given to each other and as long as no sexual touching or anything happened.

I would really like to talk to you about what ships you would consider incest and pedopheliac ships because I have not heard of any pedo ships (in the case of kissing and such) in homestuck.

If anyone has a problem with a certain ship, do let me know at the meet-up. There is no guarantee that I will take the ship off.

I sent you a personal message some time ago and am still waiting a response as I cannot answer your suggestion very well without knowing what you truly mean by "Pedophilia/incest pairings" considering practically everyone is related or (technically) underaged. reason why I said technically is because they are all of age (except for the trolls, but that's a completely different society) of consent by the time the comic ends.

Hey guys, M.C.Karkat here, and I am here to inform you that the un-official homestuck meetup will be happening again! we will be meeting up at the park at 10:30 a.m. to whenever you guys want to go home, Friday-Sunday and will be merging into the OFFICIAL meetup on Sunday that starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

To those of you who do not know what Un-official meetup is, its a meetup that is basically all about hanging out. We play games, go out and get food, MoThErFuCkInG fAyGo, and just have fun! I will be able to have access to a camera this year so we might also do some shipping photos if you are into that kind of stuff (note: this does not mean you have to have body contact with them, just a group shot or something), we will be doing some extra photo's after the OFFICIAL meet-up (or if I am put in charge of it again this year, during the official meetup). We also tend to go to the homestuck panels in groups because there is always confusion for directions for the panels.

If you have any suggestions as what we should do, feel free to...well, suggest!

Also, a little note: Please use your common sense. Seal up if you can, and if you can not, feel free to ask around. Many of us carry our sealers and such with us in the event that someone needs to re-apply. If someone is doing something they should not, either report it to con staff or to me and either con staff or I will straighten up the issue.

Just like last year, My friend and I will be hosting it and this meet up will go on everyday until the official meet up which is on Sunday at 5 p.m. We will most likely be doing games, activities, and marching through San Jose for some Faygo runs (which I have been contacted by the store owner and we will have to limit the number of people that go into the store sadly) and food runs as well which believe it or not, is very fun.
Also, the Highly anticipated Homestuck Train WILL happen again this year and ALL FANDOMS are allowed to join. The Homestuck train will "leave the station" (park) at 12:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday. I will be taking photos and videos of the train and other such activities however if you have a problem with it, please let me know immediately and will try to get you out of the photos and will edit you out of the videos.

If you have any ideas for games and such, we are definitely open to suggestions for games. Shipping circles, challenges, skits, and prizes will be given out (granted, the prizes will most likely be food, water, faygo, etc. but I hope you appreciate it ^_^) So come on by!

We are also trying to break last years record which one of my friends say was close to 900 by the start of the official meetup but I counted 507 around noon on Saturday so our goal to beat is 507 homestucks! Let's see if we can beat our record everyone!

I just realized that they hosted the same panel last year on saturday inside a hotel.  I do not recall their names though.
