While waiting in line to get into CosFest, staff were walking up and down the line shouting that (paraphrasing, I don't recall the exact words) "no flash photography is allowed, and neither is videography."  The no-flash photography part I completely understand, but this is the first time in the over 10+ years I've been attending conventions where a "no video" rule was enforced.  I'm just curious as to why.  Also when we did get in, the emcee repeated the "No flash photography" rule however he made no mention of the "no videography" part.  *confused*

I checked both here and at amv.org but couldn't find one.  Unfortunately we didn't make it to the main showing on Friday, and we were late to today's re-show and never received a ballot.  There were quite a few vids that I loved, but never caught their names, plus we missed quite a few (from Action I believe) and would love to look them up.
