Our apologies that it is a bit late again this year. We were really hoping this time it would go up in October or November! There were a lot of changes this year though, so that added some delay.
For a brief overview:
- Panels is no longer giving discounts. We will now be doing refunds. (This makes it possible for you to pre-register without any issues, and alleviates problems with signing up for Artist Alley or Swap Meet.)
- Character count restrictions for the Program Guide Blurbs have been shortened.
- You'll now be submitting a second description for the website, with a longer character count.

Are there Fan Events in 2015? If yes, what is the process for submitting one?
(The panel submission form says "if ... consider submitting your event as a Fan Event instead.")
I was wondering what a "Panelist Helper" must do to be considered a "helper". Do they have to help present or can they be background people (prep, setup, teardown, recording, etc?)
I want to be sure my friend can get a helper refund if he qualifies but don't want to mark him as a 'helper' if he doesn't meet the requirements.
Any clarification would be appreciated!

When do panel submissions close? There is no end date on the website or here on the forums. Checking the panels Twitter account, they made a fairly last-minute announcement that they are going to a waitlist, but I'm not sure what that would mean if I submitted a panel now or why that wasn't announced anywhere else. It's really frustrating that nothing but the Twitter was updated, and even then, there's little explanation about what the update actually means. (It seems pretty straightforward in terms of what a waitlist is, but I want to know how it works and what my chances are.)
If I submit my panels now, what are the chances that I'll still get in (and get a timeslot that I can actually be at)?
