Registration / "Valid Gov't Issued Photo ID"?
May 03, 2014, 03:46:59 PM
On the Registration FAQ, it states that a student ID is okay for the photo ID needed for registration, but doesn't go into much detail. I am wondering if this applies to non-college student IDs (they probably wouldn't go under gov't issued). I am a high school student and do not have a driver's license. I just don't want to wait through the reg lines and then find out my ID doesn't work, haha.

The information on my student ID contains my full name, my photo, my student ID number, and the name of my high school. (No birthdate.)

Also, possibly relevant to more attendees than my prior question, I am wondering if this will work as I will be in cosplay with a wig and cosplay makeup and will not match my photo much.

Dealers Room / Re: What do you want to see?
May 03, 2014, 01:21:35 PM
Kuroko no Basket merch would be highly appreciated: keychains, plushies, posters, prints, even figures. I understand it was fairly popular last year but that had something to do with the anticipation of the anime's second season airing, which we don't have this year.

A larger variety of pillows and dakimuras would also be fantastic. Somehow the 4-5 different designs I spotted last year all contained scantily-clad females around 15-20 years of age and large busts. Variety, indeed.

I live in the area and don't require hotel/transportation/restaurant/etc fees like a lot of con-goers, and I'll be purchasing a one-day badge online at the day of the convention, so I'll probably bring around ~$200 to the actual con. I'm looking for plushies and miscellaneous cosplay keychains and charms (any jewelry found included) in the Dealer's Hall and some nice prints in the Artists Alley. Last year, though, I spent practically all my time in the Dealer's Hall and bought a lot more there than anywhere else, so I have high hopes this year. :D

I love all varieties of plushies and will always take a serious look at any plush, but I particularly enjoy the cuddle-sized (~1 foot tall) ones made of soft and cuddle-worthy material. Last year I spent more on my plushies alone than all my posters and prints combined.

I also love cosplay jewelry and other accessories. The laser-cut pokemon badges (pinnable to shirts and jackets if so desired) were some of the best finds I've ever found at any con, period.

I'd also say Kuroko no Basket cosplay outfits, but I get the feeling that those will easily exceed $50 for a single article of clothing and understandably may not sell too well.

Hello! This is going to be my second year at Fanime and my first year cosplaying. I'm going to be going as Kuroko from Kuroko no Basket, and while it was a pretty popular choice for cosplay last year, I don't think I've seen a single post on the forum for it this year. D:

Anyone else going from Kuroko no Basket? I'd love to hear back from you. :D
