Quick question! For those who are setting up Swap Meet and will be selling there, would parking at the tent be allowed? I remember last time I was in line I saw there was a space for parking your car, but I wasn't sure if that is allowed for us sellers.

I just want to leave a message and say thanks for all the tips here! I for sure used alot of them and it was a great help. As for change though, depending on your items I'd recommend more than $60 in change.

What we did was we had $150 in change (50 1s, 20 5s) and by the end of our thursday space we barely had much 5s left. Almost every buyer had 20s (some even gave us 100s!) and the break down in 5s is the best way to go about them as you will by far have 20s by the end of your selling.

Just FYI that I saw a guy who was obviously a reseller. He was selling card sleeves and other TCG goods and had multiples of all items. Clearly reselling stuff he bought from AmiAmi. Probably impossible to restrict this activity but just putting this out there.

Yeah there was several of them, actually is part of a community of people on Facebook at I'm in based around those cards and pretty sure it is meant just for resell. I honestly don't know if that's bad or not being card sleeves because you kind of need more than one, but it is a good thing to point out. You don't really get a lot of places that sells card sleeves in the dealer's room at Fanime though so dunno if it's bad or not anyways.

On my personal feedback, things went very well! I only did Thursday but as you mentioned more time for the sellers to get in and set up so it doens't hold up the line is best, and that's about the only complaint I had. Everything went super smooth, the spaces were real clear where the cut offs were (and big too which was a huge plus!) and very helpful staff. For sure one of the more organized events so it's always a joy to do this event!

I can only think of one buyer at the very end who if he didn't like a price I gave him he would throw the toy down to the floor saying nah, so that was pretty rude but I can forgive it for the fact that we were closing up and there wouldn't be other buyers by this point, but still a rude thing to do to other people's items.

I want to ask about a question on an item we may sell at Swap Meet: Is power cables allowed to be sold? We just have several of them and want to see if that's a sellable item, don't want to get in trouble by trying to bring it in after all.

Requoting my question as I didn't see it answered or may as missed the answer. Can anyone confirm this? We don't want to end up trying to sell a prohibited item.

That's SUPER GOOD NEWS! :D We are so looking forward to watching both of them, feels like to make up for last year almost. Thanks for letting us know!

Oooh, a Shenmue panel! That should be a lot of fun. Maybe a Shemue and on the side Yakuza panel with it? As I always think of them as linked.

I hope there's an import games area...! There was a kind of okay games area last year but the sellers there were not well equipped to handle questions about prices and stuff like that. An import games area for japanese games and the like would fit the theme better I think than just a general games booth also, as there was one several years back.

Last year (2015) we were VERY disappointed by the lack of Conan movie showing. Will there be one this year? I remember they would usually show the newest movie on Sunday mornings and it was always an exciting showing for us to go and watch with fans.
