Has anyone used this option before and knows if they have a pull out bed? Call me crazy, but I can't imagine the Marriott hotel allowing/assuming 4 people could sleep in a single king bed??? Am I wrong?

Registration / Re: Reg Location 2017

I got there early so I didn't run into issues when I picked up my badge but from what I heard from others (correct me if I'm wrong) was that isn't wasn't a different design but that the system just kept crashing and they had trouble printing on badges, info would be missing. I'm kind of glad that they are moving registration back to the hub, more room and less stuffy.

I just hope they announce the location change to their social media soon! Rumor has it the problem with last year was the different badge style? I can't really remember anymore. people learn from their mistakes, so i hope that includes Fanime. I think rovers had some difficulty organizing the line when it got sooo long.
I have faith for this year to at least be an improvement from last year!! :)

I would email fanime registration, that would be the best bet. I registered last year at con as well and I just got mine and my groups Barcode email this afternoon. Make sure you check your junk mail too

I just want to update everyone that I did email fanime registration to question about the new Barcode and surprisingly got an email back this morning with the Barcode, it was fairly small at the end of the email. So I believe they are starting to send out those emails, if you're really freaking out i suggest that you email them that might make it a little faster. Good luck everyone.

based on pricing it is more beneficial to buy the full weekend, also I believe I heard/read rumors on unofficial fanime Facebook page that it'll be $85 for full weekend badges purchased at the con, but don't quote me on  that.

well welcome!!  The concerts are usually a lot of fun.  There's a bunch of seats, it's first come first serve but you should be able to end up with a good seat :)
#14
well if u are referring to before the concert starts you could sit on the sidewalk or ground cause they won't let us in til like 30 mins til. If u are referring to during the concert you should be able to sit.

Depending on the artist(s) popularity people sometimes line up as early as that morning. The auditorium is a decent sized, there is seating. Most of the time you are able to stand up where your seats are but there is no standing only area. It could get fairly loud, depending on your sensitivity to that, I'd recommend bringing ear plugs just in case.

As far as panels go, I believe you could start lining up about 1 hr before. Once again itll depend on the type of panel.

that's just sad, but I hope you won't have to go thru that again this yr if you're selling

I agree with Michi, South Hall (aka the big blue tent) was an excellent location.  Probably second only to being in the convention center itself, which apparently will never happen again.

The year it was at the City National Civic Theater was the worst, location wise.  It was way too small to accommodate even a reasonable number of people at any given time for Swap Meet.  If I recall correctly, I still managed to sell pretty well, but everything I heard from people trying to get in later was that it was a huge headache.  There were definitely a lot fewer people coming in to browse because of the limited capacity, and I also noticed fewer people made multiple laps or return trips throughout the night.  Second worst location was the Fairmont, partially because of the distance from the convention center, but also because of the really confusing way sellers were spread out through multiple ballrooms.

I don't remember when seller signups went up the last couple of years.  It definitely seems like it creeps closer and closer every year, but I didn't think it's been this close to the start of the con before.

I remember a parent who would leave his to cry at my space so I would give the toy to the kid for $1 until one of the staff kicked him out.

sorry misintrepid it. The father and his baby wanted to buy this toy loose http://www.tfu.info/2000/Vehicon/Mirage/mirage.htm for $1 when I was selling it for $5. The kid cried and the father refused to leave my space until I would give it to him for $1 and driving of potential customers until one of the staff told them to leave and he made excuses that I refuse to give the toy to his son for $1.

Registration / Re: Registration Prices?
May 06, 2016, 12:30:52 AM
it should, make sure you got your confirmation email for it. Prices were supposed to have gone up on may 1st. If you are worried email registration and check with them. Usually to my knowledge if you got it from the fanime website and you have been charged, as long as you received a confirmation email from them th en you should be fine.

Last night (May 4) I ordered 2 memberships for $65.00 a piece. The website says it should be $75.00. I hope that the $130.00 I paid is still valid as full memberships (Friday-Monday) but I'm not sure. Help?

Make your own Kimono! has been accepted for those who were interested by the way!  All supplies for this will be provided, I'll have a thing in case people want to throw $5 at us to offset costs, but it won't be required by any means. :)

I'm not fully sure about that part, I believe you could attempt to line up as early as you want but keep in mind the actual rooms where they hold the autograph sessions don't usually open until about 1.5 or 2 hrs before. I'd just line up near there. Just keep in mind you might be moved around a bit. It might be a little different depending if it's the 1st session of the day or following another
