Registration / The worst is happening :'(

Ok so, i pre-regg'd for this year quite a while ago, all set in stone to go this year, and it turns out that i will be moving to texas the week before fanime. I have a nagging feeling that my badge is non-refundable, so is there any possibility to get my badge sent to me? :( At least so i can have it for Sentimental value, i have been going for the past 5 years and it seems really sad that i have to break my yearly ritual of all you can eat pocky and Ramune.

I think i've seen this brought up a long time ago, the site looks kinda familiar but it would be hella cool... but its expensive.. :'(

Subway or In-N-Out their vegetarian stuff is always really good

Lol the forums plan get togethers outside of fanime at random times during the year. I've been meaning to go to one but showing up somewhere where you know nobody, at some random persons house is just a tid awkward. ^^

Especially like the yaoi or yuri paddles, it pressured people into doing things that they may not be comfortable with and then if they didn't do it they were spanked with the paddle. :( That is way uncool, peer pressure at its worst.

Lol i'm looking for a girl in cosplay who sat next to me during the armor making panel. We were making fun of the guy sitting across the isle because he didn't want to sit next to us.

I don't know what she was cosplaying as but she was wearing black and had a blonde wig on with like these little dangly things clipped in.

Not too descriptive i know

What? Did u not see jesus confront the protestors? XD
All kidding aside, I guess it's up to personal perception. For me the opposite was true. Last year kind of dragged, while this year I had a blast.

Lol it was that complete same for me too. I had a blast this year and it kinda dragged last year, but this year i ended up going to panels... viewing rooms... etc. Lol i didn't buy as much as i usually do... but somehow i ended up spending a lot of money anyways... ;_;
Finding the right panels can really lift your spirits. All of a sudden you got a group of people to hang out with. That was the case for me with the cthulu for president, how to animate, and comedy panels.

Ok lol i dont wanna sound stupid but who is cthulu? My friend plays wow and yadda yadda, we all have no clue... >>'; But yes! Finding a panel where everyone has the same interest as you is what really makes it special... or just finding someone who is cosplaying as your favorite character and then hanging out. It's really about all the connections and thing you end up doing at the con.

I've decided this year that i will end up going to some of the upcoming fanime gatherings and hang with everyone from the forums. Making friends is always the hardest part... :)
Quick description. Cthulu is a powerfull diety who sleeps at the bottom of the ocean. He was mentioned and appeared in stories written by HP Lovecraft. The panel Cthulu for president was hilarious because the guy running it said he was cthulu's campaign manager and took the role very seriously. We even got to ask questions. Such fun you'll only find at a con.
Again, moments like these make fanime great. This cheered me up even when I was pissed at my roommates. XD So make many friends at fanime. It's in the con rules!!

I really plan to next year... this year i had people following me around so i felt like i kinda had to hang out with them... One of them even almost fell asleep in the (im)possible cosplay panel... O_O So yeah it was a little distressing to not be able to meet people because you're friends are attached to you. But there was this one really cool girl in cosplay that sat next to me and my boyfriend during the armor panel. ^^ Shoulda asked for her name and stuff.

Well.. The other golflands aren't so nice about things like this.. It would have to be Castro Valley. Only about 35-40 minuts from San jose... So yeah, I hope people will be able to go.

That's like a 2 hours ride for me... :'(

Idk if it is graduation but the parking garages and lots are open all weekend long. :|

OKAY PARKING PARKING PARKING!

YES THERE IS PARKING IN THE CONVENTION CENTER AND YES IT COSTS MONEY.

Quite a bit so you better save up. The parking garage is located under the convention center or if you have booked a room at any adjoining hotel next to the center they have their own parking garages which are free for patrons.

If you can't pay the fifty-some-odd dollars that it takes to park in the con there is also parking garages and parking lots 2-3 blocks away from the con. The one that i use is the one across the street from Mcdonalds. Trust me there are plenty of parking lots/garages around, the lots will have bigs signs considering the tech museum and stuff is close to the convention center. If you have no clue where Mcdonalds and stuff is refer to my shitty paint picture of all the food places.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get your badge, it is a california government issued id. Albeit a little outdated but it is still an id nonetheless

If you do it NOW! Then it may come right before the con. good luck
