Who cares about the actors? They haven't even discussed casting issues yet. I just want to see the special effects by WetaWorks.

For the uninformed, WetaWorks did ALL the special effects for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Their next film project has giant robots invading NY in a world of tomorrow. The film stars Jude Law, Angelina Jolie, and Gwneth Paltrow. The trailer is up and it looks freaking SWEET. If this is what they can do, I can't wait to see how they will accomplish the EVA battles.

here's a site that's dedicated to the NGE movie:

Carmel, Chatsworth, Garden Grove, Gardena, Los Angeles and San Diego.

Quote from: "jinnai_animexcalibur"i have a friend who has a copy of vampire hunter d on ....BETA....:eww:.....

Beta is still widely used in the entertainment industry. If you compare beta and vhs tapes, beta is actually the better quality. One of the reasons why beta was phased out of mainstream was because it was expensive. Vhs is actually a cheaper medium to use, however the quality isn't as good.

Quote from: "SuperKawaiiNeko"Rurouni Kenshin is the japanese name. When the oav was licenced, they changed the name to Samurai X, but when the tv series was licenced, they produced that under the original name "Rurouni Kenshin." This is how I understand it.(at the moment)

Simple answer: TV and OAV were licensed in the USA by 2 different companies. Media Blasters took control of the TV series and had chosen to keep it's original title. ADVision had later announced ownership of the OAV titles. Therefore, ADVision couldn't infringe upon the same name since 'Rurouni Kenshin' was copyrighted by Media Blasters first. Hence the name change.

You're not riding your bike??? Did you get into another accident?

Asagiri No Miko is correct! Opening and ending songs are sung by the infamous Megumi Hayashibara, she is the older sister to the main character.

Torrent isn't working for you??

I LOVE torrent! What sites were you going to for torrent files??
This is a highly recommended site:

http://anime.mircx.com/

Other than that, try using WinMX and sign up for an account to http://www.animefantasia.com/ to use with the program. (P2P)

If not that, try the old fashion: efnet IRC channels.

I heard from a reliable source of mine....it started at AX sometime after 1997, but before 2000....I'm still trying to clearify exactly which year it had happened though...97,98, or 99...?? :? It happened either at the same year as Fanime, or the year before.

Quote from: "Mastersomething"In the video rooms, are you allowed to grab a chair and stack it on top of another so you can see the screen?
(I got away with it this year once!)

No, that is a huge no-no. That is a safety policy. Unfortunately, we did not have enough staff to watch over the video rooms properly.
