I'm wondering what the rules regarding allowed controllers will be, though. I understand many bigger smash4 tourneys don't allow the WiiU Pro controller, or many other wireless controllers. I'm training with a Bidou scheme, which needs four shoulder triggers for many techniques, so a GCN controller won't cut it. I normally use a Wii Classic controller, and can pull the batteries out of the Wiimote between matches so it doesn't interfere with the flow of other matches.
Just so you know, I personally wouldn't recommend a wireless controller at this event if they use the same venue for gaming as they always do. There are a lot more people with wireless controllers than there would be at large Smash 4 tourneys, and not to mention a ton more wireless devices in general. I tried using a Pro controller last year for the Smash tourney but it lagged at just entering my tag from all the interference. I suggest bringing a backup Gamecube controller to be safe.
