Quote from: "Jyunishinsho"Allow me to start as well.

My friend is looking for the Pyramid Head with the black shirt and tribal/skull back design.

I think she's a girl...

Here's a pic:

I  believe that's my boyfriend's little friend Carol! :3

Big Event Showcase / FANIME BANDS
March 08, 2007, 05:01:40 PM
Another vote towards getting Karma Shenjing to play at Fanime. They'd be absolutely amazing and would likely prove to be extremely popular.

I'd also definitely be pleased to see Metalphyzix there.
And {mid:night} for sure. But that's if they want to. <3

I'd give some of my soul to see them play at Fanime. I DEMAND THEY BE GUESTS.

{mid:night} MUST play at Fanime.
MARS would be pretty cool too.
BUT.
{mid:night}
for sure. They'd be great and I know they'd be happy to play. 8D

I know, I know. Blashpemy, yes?
But I'm sure I'm not the only person who isn't cosplaying. I know for a fact that not everyone cosplays. Some just don't like it, some just don't finish their cosplays in time.

But how do people react to those who dress up especially (not your every day shirt and jeans, at least) but aren't necessarily cosplaying?

dxcuss.
Have you ever dressed up but not cosplayed?
Have you ever been asked who you were cosplaying..when you weren't?

Registration / Emergency ID issue.

Quote from: "Marion"pandy.pie, how did you contact them over phone? :0 may I have the phone number too, pls? x_x

I suppose Fanime must have a good reason for not accepting student IDs ^^. but I hafta say, it's really inconvienent. ><
I just dialed information and asked for the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. There was a lot of transfering involved. My father was on the phone the majority of the time while I was online here, keeping up. So I don't know the number myself. Sorry. ^-^;;

This is very confusing. Marion, if you live near the area and are planning to go to pick up your badge at 6PM, I might not reccomend it. I've already made calls to the convention center and staff, and apparently they're behind and don't have everything ready yet anyhow. I was told no badges would be available for pick up until 8am-ish Friday morning.

There's a lot of conflicting info between what's here online and what's said by the staff there now. ;-; -more desperate please for some staff confirmations-

Registration / Emergency ID issue.

This is what concerns me. All of a sudden school ID's are unacceptable? That doesn't make sense, seeing as many of the con-attendees are underaged, and don't have any other form of ID. Also, in previous years at Fanime, a school ID was acceptable. This in addition to the printed receipts seems like it should be enough, yes?

In any case, I don't personally have my school ID now, even. So I might have to hunt for some other form of identification, though it's so last minute I don't know what I'll do. >__o;

Ok.

But I'm too young for any other form of ID at the moment. No driver's license or state ID yet. In previous years, I was able to pick my badge up with my school ID alone.

But now that I've lost that...I'm SOL? :?

Registration / Emergency ID issue.

I recently lost my wallet with my school ID, my only form of identification. Without it, will I still be able to pick up my badge if I have the printed out receipt? And if not, would something like a printed copy from my school be acceptable? Anything?
I'm worried I've just lost my only way to pick up my pre-reg badge. @___@;;

Also (bonus!) at what time on Thursday is early pick-up available? >>;;

Isn't it a little late for that now? I thought they'd already started making badges, and that official transfers weren't going on anymore. o__o;

Quote from: "Tsukai Mori"From what I remember, as long as you have some verification that you purchased the ticket, it is fine, I think. I walked in with someone elses pass once and that was A okay (since she gave it to me) so I'm under the impression fanime is lenient (plus I walked around with a female name plastered on my shirt). So I think if you print the certificate of purchase (sent through an e-mail, I think) you'll be fine. Well, this is just a hypothesis so await more able posters to answer your question.

Edit-
So just use that certificate to get in another friend or something.
Sorry to bring back a dead-ish thread, but I have the same question and a possitive answer wasn't posted within the thread.

If, as in my situation, a registration for someone was made and they can no longer make it, could I pick up their badge (if I have their receipt from them) and then give that badge to another friend?

That'd be neat. <3 I couldn't get tickets for the Slim's show in SF, so I got tickets to the one in Anaheim. I'm going with my friends. Exciting! <33

I'd be interested in a Laruku gathering, depending on what kind of silly things we'd be doing and how much else I have to do at Fanime. x3
