Need a Room

Introduction: Hi! I'm Shaina! This will be my third time attending Fanime as both a cosplayer and volunteer! I am 19 year old college student from the Bay Area, and I'm currently living in Santa Cruz. I'm a pretty open, direct person in general and would be willing to room with anyone.

Hotel Information: I'm fine with any hotel, but I would prefer one within walking distance of the convention center. If not, as long as I have a means of transportation to get to the convention center, such as the shuttle, I'll be perfectly fine. :)
I'm looking for a place to stay from Friday to Monday morning.

Requirements: I'd prefer to have a key to the room, but I totally understand that they're limited in supply. I also have a tendency of going to going to sleep late or coming back at late times depending on circumstances. So I'd prefer to be with people who tend to sleep late as well so I can easily make it back to the room if I cannot have a key for myself and to cause the least disturbance. These things can be discussed in further detail, and I'm willing to work with sleeping earlier/ getting back to use room earlier.

Micellanous: I mainly just need a place to change, hold my things, and tend to myself whether it be cleaning or sleeping. I am willing to sleep anywhere, whether it be a bed or the floor. Thus, I won't really be a bother. But yeah besides that, costs aren't too much of an issue for me.

If you're interested in having me as a roommate, please PM me!

Depending on the determined time, I may come as another fellow Monokuma.  ;D

You may pick your badge up at either location. Picking a con simply helps with allocating resources.

Thank you!

If I had designated on my pre-registration form that I would like to pick up my badge at Clockworks, is it it still possible to pick it up at Fanime?

Basically, I'm asking if I can pick up my badge at either location regardless of what I previously stated about where I would pick up my badge according to the pre-registration form.

I might be able to come as another Ash Ketchum. No guarantees though. :/

If you've never styled a wig before I would HIGHLY recommend getting the short wig and adding the buns separately. And you wouldn't have to color the buns. You would just buy one in black and one in white. (styling a long wig that is not specifically designed for up-dos will almost always require adding wefts along the base to make it look good and that may be difficult if you inexperienced with styling wigs).
Mmkay. Sounds like a plan. Although, my only problem now is that I've had difficulty finding a white straight bun extension of the type I'm looking for.. So far, all of the ones I've seen consist of braids and knots and such... I don't want that..

If I can't find a white hair bun extension, I'm thinking of either dying another hair bun extension white (maybe a really light blond one), or perhaps attempting to create my own bun extension through the use of white hair extensions and a sock bun. I have no idea how either method will work out though :/

EDIT: Perhaps these extensions might work?.. I could just attach them to the wig and roll them in to buns. If it's too long, I can always just trim them, right?

I've had a lot of luck using Kryolan Color Spray on wigs. Otherwise there are split color wigs available!!
Here are a few that I think would work - it looks like you want to keep it short so this one might be the best (it also has a less scary shipping time, haha) - these also look good 1 2 3 4 - they're all similar items but from different sellers!

As far as the buns go, I'd recommend buying them separately - they're pretty inexpensive!
These look decent but I'm sure there's something better out there (I'm rly tired right now, sorry)
Thanks! That was a lot more information that I had expected to receive.

Although, I'm debating between buying that short wig and attaching buns or buying that long wig and styling it into buns.

I am thinking of buying the short wig, but I am not sure how the outcome will be if I were to dye a black bun extension white using the color spray. Do you think it would work? Or would the white barely be able to cover up the black? I've never worked with wigs and any type of dye before so yeah.

My other option is buying that long wig and styling it into buns. If it's too long for my liking, I believe I can either trim it or even thin it if it's too thick. I've never styled a wig before either. Would this method work as well?

Thanks for the help. I'm sorry that I'm a total wig noob.

Hey guys! So I was thinking of getting a wig for a cosplay I've been working on for awhile. On my first attempt wearing my cosplay, I decided to temporarily dye half of my hair white. Although it was okay for the occasion I wore it for at the time, I realize that it would be extremely inconvenient to use this method at Fanime. However, so far, it has been difficult finding a trustworthy seller than would sell an inexpensive, yet decent looking, wig of the kind I'm looking for: a half-black and half-white wig of appropriate length so I can put it into twin buns (as seen in the link provided). I was thinking of purchasing a white cosplay wig and dying half of it black through methods I found online, however, I am not sure how exactly I should start. I don't know where I should buy the appropriate white cosplay wig, nor am I sure of how exactly I should approach dying half of it black...

If anyone here is an expert on wigs, I would appreciate your guidance. O A O;;;

If possible, I may attend as a humanized version of Monokuma. No guarantees, but I hope I can!

If I can attend, I think I'll be coming as Sakura Kasugano from Street Fighter. :x
