i just have a comment on the laminated badges of 2009. yeah, the lamination did make it look a little better but it looked like EVERYONE'S name was "member".
our real name was in even smaller font, and our fan name was even smaller in a dark blue color...AGAINST A BLACK BACKGROUND. do you know how hard it was to see my own fan name? [btw, i'm not yelling out of anger, just emphasizing]
it seemed like the fan names were really pointless. i thought that at cons, fan names/nicknames were what ppl recognized you by. you can put your main cosplayers name, your forum name, whatever that ppl knew you by.

what i think should've happened was fan name on top, being the largest, then the real name under it in smaller font, then "member" under that.

just mine and a couple of my friends' opinion.

i was wondering if it is possible to buy a badge with a split payment method.
like, pay half of it with cash and the other half with a debit card.

i know it's simply easier to pay for it with one method, but i would like to know if it can be done.

Group reg has yet to be implemented. There are possibilities for the things you cite, but we must test and implement before we can answer these questions.

terribly sorry if this has been asked. [i also didnt want to make a new thread]
does group registration affect who registers who and who picks up the badges?

ex: if i pre-reg myself and my friend pre-regs himself, can i pick up his badge along with mine if i have a copy of his ID? or does each individual person need to pick up their own badge?

another question: can i pre-reg myself and another person [under the same creditcard] and pick up both badges? or does my friend still need to pick up his badge himself?

fanime has their own site setup to reserve hotel rooms. and it's just that, reserving a room. unlike the hotel's official site, it doesn't show the price it would be with the fees and taxes.
is there a way to figure or find out the fees and taxes to get a grand total of the nights one is staying?
i'd like to know so my friends know how much to pay and we'd rather have the closest number instead of guessing and have to pay a few dollars later.

but how much are single day badges? i know it's better to buy for the whole weekend instead of trying to buy for two consecutive days, but what about a single day? i also know you can only buy single day passes the day of.

oh ok. has it always been the same? if yes, why not give a group discount? if not, did it not work out?

unless i missed a part reading all this, if group registration happens, will there be a discount? or is it still the same price for everyone? this is only my 2nd fanime [if i even go] so i don't know much about past group registrations.
ex: PMX had a group reg of 5+ ppl and 20% discount off total price. ALA had a group reg of 15+ ppl and the price goes down to $25 per person.

i just want to post it even though it's absolutely useless...

Ooh elevators were interesting. I was on the 16th floor at marriott. My friend had a brilliant idea when it came to elevator rush time. If going up, take the stairs to the 2nd floor since that's where everyone gets off and get on. You'll go to the first floor with an already full elevator and no one can get on XD then just go up to your floor XD hahaha...well, i thought it was funny >.>
anyways. yeahh...checkout day, half my group got an elevator and me and the other half had to wait. i didnt want to so i took the stairs [from the 16th floor] with a suitcase, fairly sized duffel bag, and heels. not fun. but hey, cons give you the most exercise i like to think XD

So that means you yourself needs to pick up your own ticket right? Like, somebody else can't get it for you, regardless if he or she is only getting it for you?

yeah, i think you yourself have to get it. my guess is that so early people won't get a bunch of tickets for friends coming later and then have the con run out. which would suck for people who are coming later and don't have friends to pick up tickets early for them. plus it's just fair that way ^_^;

anyways, thanks so much Tony for putting up with all our questions and thanks to musicfest staff for dealing with everything. i'm sure everything will go nicely when the time comes. *now to plan when to line up early saturday morning since i'll get in just as the time ends for tickets on friday ><*

ohh yes, i'd like to know about the concert merchandise, too.
also for the autograph session, would we have to buy something there to be signed? or can it be anything we bring? [ie. magazine, cd]

oh my goodness...i think i've misunderstood this whole time.
i thought those who entered a promo-code had all three tickets reserved for them.
but a reserved ticket is only a concert ticket. right?
so since i have a promo-code, i can go friday and get my reserved concert ticket. but i'd have to line up seperately with everyone else to try and get a reception/autograph ticket. right?

so sorry so many questions are asked, but i really appreciate all you're doing for us!! =]

OMG! my thoughts exactly. well, not really. but i was so disappointed when i heard the ball was the same time as the concert. before an cafe was announced, i was excited to go to the ball, then i was excited to go to both. but after the schedule was set, i was bummed i couldnt go to one.
but i have no idea which people will attend more.
