Hey,

So there's a couple of things you can do. Basically talk about the mechanics of learning the game at a base level, explain roles (support, semi-carry, carry, roamer, etc.), map awareness, etc. There's a lot to talk about when it comes to the basics of DOTA 2 because that's pretty much the biggest hurdle of the game.

Also, not to be mean, but if you have no idea what to talk about and you plan on hosting a panel maybe you should reconsider, but I'm willing to help you out with stuff if you need ideas to inspire you. I'm always down for helping people play and learn Dota, as it isn't something everyone can easily pick up, or even people can teach.

Anyways, when do you have this panel and where?

Hi girls at the meeting right now if anyone checks....

Tiffany will be there a bit late due to natural delays and will show up in 10-20 minutes. Sorry about the delay.

If you're playing an instrument for cash you got your head on wrong, this coming from a fellow musician. Play to entertain, if you want cash join a band and sell records lol. That's just my 2 cents

The whole process can take up to 2 hours at most, usually done though within an hour or a bit over... Depends on questions, girls trying out, etc.

I would like to attend the San Jose try out, but I don't know if I can get there on time. I will be taking the SAT on March 9th and it will end around 1:00 PM. It would probably take 30 minutes to get to the try-out location. Can I still try-out?

Hey, just try to make it early as you can, someone can go over with you whatever you missed.

Hi! This was the Youmu cosplayer from the auditions last weekend!

Have the emails about whether or not that you've been accepted or not been sent?
I feel like there was a typo or something with my email.

Hey! there isn't acceptance emails yet, that will happen after all the tryouts have finished.

Thanks for the answer! We're only allowed to go to one tryout, am I right? If you make it onto the cafe, will you receive the email after all the tryouts have happened? Just curious >.<''.

Yeah. Only one tryout. No email after the tryout.

So the next SF tryout will be on March 10th?

Hey so if I mentioned at the tryout in SF that I wasn't going to take the California Food Handler test, but now I really want to, should I let someone know? :\ I changed my mind after thinking about it all day and I am willing to take the test/get the card lol.

Hey, if you're accepted just let us know in an email, we'll probably send out an email for confirmation to anyone who does so. Like we mentioned at the meetings it isn't a determining factor that will make you pass/fail the interview, just a perk.

Ideas and Suggestions / Re: Live streaming
February 07, 2013, 09:04:02 PM
Okay, streaming "expert" here...

It can be possible using a mobile wi-fi hotspot (using like a Verizon one, very very pricey, wish I could get my own for personal use) but you would have to consider that other people will be using Verizon service there for example, so it will be bogged down, just like sysadmin said.

Because Fanime is like a HUGE event, and San Jose is a huge hotspot of technology, you might be able to pull out a smooth 360p 30 fps stream, just because of the huge volume of people who will be using the service. If you have your own service-provided mobile hotspot I guess more power to you... There is no way you can get a 1080p stream on a mobile hotspot when it is in a huge area of people concentrated on that cell connection.

If I am misunderstanding, that's cool, but I guess its just a heads up on anyone else wanting to do streaming at fanime.

Hi girls!

I'm just dropping by and saying hi and hope you all are excited for the first interview! I'm the Second of Maid Cafe this year, and I'm excited to catch up with my old friends from before, and meet our new girls too! I took a one year hiatus from Fanime activity, but I'm excited to be back and hope to have fun again this year like before!

You really like Infinite don't you, haha. If there was any other groups you'd cover I'd say maybe but I'm not an Infinite fan. Sorry.

I'll be entering (and winning!) this. I'll also be accepting skullgirls money matches all weekend :P

Also, you shouldn't ban anything. The game's hardly been out for a month so there isn't really anything broken. Double is a really good character, probably the best in the game, but she isn't broken. If you think he being good is that big a problen then just put het on your team but there are ways around her.

Uhhhhh, you are aware money matches are not allowed at Fanime last I heard...
