Ideas and Suggestions / Re: 'World Order' flash mob anyone?
« on: May 12, 2015, 08:22:09 PM »
Alrighty, here's the lowdown

I'm still all for seeing if this can be pulled off.  Sooooo, let's cover all the big details (in my opinion):

-'World Order' flash mob, reenacting the dance in this vid:
-Location in mind: G7 'The Art Spot' outside the main hall entrance under the art structure.
-Time: Friday May 22 @ 1:15 PM

Biggest factor still in jeopardy is having the song to play with.  Anyone who may happen to show up with a loud enough music player, you'd be most appreciated!

Best case scenario and that all works out, hope all who may wanna participate shows up and has a good time.
Worst case scenario and no music player is around, theeeeeeen I suppose we save this idea for next year?  No harm in that!   ;)

As for the dancing, I do not expect an exact match like that of World Order themselves.  Like one person takes the 'center/leader' position like the group, but rather everyone focuses on the overall group action/movements of the performance.  If anyone gets lost, just focus on following the others around.  No blame or fault for a misstep or slightly different move.  It's all in good fun!   8)

With that in mind, mark this in your plans if you wanna try!  Still would make this 100% definite if someone with a music player spoke up and was willing to share.  Other than that, looking forward to Fanime in just a little over a week!

Here's an idea to see if this can be pulled off or not:

Those willing to participate and really make this happen (or think you MIGHT wanna), email me at  If I see enough folks answer, I'll definitely for sure set a time and location.  Offhand, I can see myself planning sometime on Friday (the 22nd), but that's NOT guaranteed.  Also, anyone with a loud enough music player for an expected random live performance, please inquire!    ;D   You'd be a most useful key factor.

Cosplaying or not, feel free to want to take part!  Nothing wrong with a mix of casual and costumed folks.  And no, unfortunately I will not be cosplaying as 'World Order'.  But that's fine as no one would be required to.

*ahem* What I'm trying to say is, I love World Order and I'm totally down!! It just depends on when this happens.

Well, I'm glad to see some interest!  Hopefully if there are a few more willing participants (not to mention anyone in possession of a loud enough music player), this could very well go down.   :D

Anticipation building as the days count down....

After last episode, I wonder how many folks will attempt a quick revamp to their Amethyst costumes....

Ideas and Suggestions / 'World Order' flash mob anyone?

Anyone familiar with the music/performance group 'World Order'?  And therefore, familiar with their gimmick of performing their routine at random like the smallest flash mob you may have ever seen?

If not, check this out!

I'd think it'd be awesome if this became a RL flash mob among fellow Con goers.  In the main hall below Stage Zero?  Outside in the courtyard?  Wherever possible, I can see this being a fun, random addition to the fun spontaneity that is all so common at Fanime.

Overall it's a relatively simple dance to learn, and almost anyone can copy a fellow mob-er easily.

Any takers?

Awesome! I can't wait to see you all!

23 days until the thursday of fanime. :o Hope everyone's almost ready!

It's the Final Countdown!

8 to go, eh?  Eh, why not?   :)

Would you like to have a 'Veteran class' Pok√©mon Trainer?   TBH, I wouldn't mind if my time on the board turned out short  XD

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Fanime 2015 Roommate thread
« on: April 15, 2015, 10:14:45 PM »
Need a room:
+ Introduction: Hello soon to be Fanime 2015 attendees!  Safe to say housing this year has been crazy, huh???  Anyway, in hopes of sticking to my usual standard of finding a close by lodging for the weekend, I'm seeking a potential room and roommate who wouldn't mind some added company during the fun and festive Con Fanime always is!  I'm a 28 y/o male and for a portion of the weekend am expected to be accompanied by by girlfriend, 27 y/o female.  I come with a big bag, but promise to not take up too much space!  Ready and willing to share/split cost as I'm sure it'll be a good deal cheaper than what I'm paying now while booked at a less favored location for the time being...

+ Hotel Information: Either the Marriot or Hilton are my 2 top picks.  But any hotel within a relatively close by walking distance works!

+ Requirements: I'd like if possible at least one spare bed to have for me and my gf.  She'll most likely only stay one night.  Also one room key for myself.  Am an average down to earth attendee, and follow a typical sleeping pattern usually between Midnight and 7-8AM.  So no wild party rooms or late night owls if you please.  If these are simple enough requests, we'll get along just fine.  ^_^

+ Contact: PM this account please.  Or email me at  Please link to your reply here if you've posted looking for roommates.

+ Miscellaneous: Am a BIG retro fan.  Both in anime and video games.  Just to name a few: Sailor Moon, DBZ, Tenchi Muyo, Pokemon, Digimon, Sonic, Mario, Streets of Rage, Columns.  If you're a fan of the same, you've just made a new friend for sure!

Yeah, that's perfectly understandable.  Will keep an eye out for them then, just in case!  Really looking forward to the session  ^_^

An excellent idea.  With the show's progress this past year alone, I wouldn't be surprised if the number of cosplayers for it increased greatly!

Sure thing!  The one Love Hina skit in it, and the Pokemon clip with Beedrill focus  ^_^
My credits name is 'Moon-Phantom'

This is a LONG SHOT suggestion, but any thought of including a 'Trainer Class' category?  Such as bug catchers, youngsters, lasses, etc...  Then again, it may make more sense for them to just be in 'Trainers' as a whole, huh?

I'll be attending this year dressed as I was last year: Black & White Veteran Class Trainer  ^_^

I carry the motion.  Not staff myself, but still a fun idea nonetheless.

I certainly hope so!  I look forward to them every year as well.  Even more so this time; I actually contributed to that one!  ^_^
