« on: May 27, 2015, 03:04:29 PM »
Hello Forums Community,

We got some feedback on first timers needing more info and tips. Can you all comment so that I could compile something for them. Either on the website or in the program guide.

Thanks everybody!
Eric

Hi everyone,

Please post your requests here. I will also see if we can interface with our lost and found department.

Thanks!
Eric

Previous posts:

I lost my Hitsugaya sword yesterday in Industry Video Room 1.  I'd appreciate it's return.  Thanks!

I lost a black rolling luggage and red/pink backpack during checkout at Hyatt Place on Monday. The hotel and convention staff found nothing. I was heartbroken, and left the con with nothing but my purse and the clothes on my back. The laptop has important documents for work, and many of those items have a lot of sentimental value. I am willing to offer a reward. Please PM me if you have any info, no questions asked. Thank you.

My friend was cosplaying Little Mac and misplaced his gloves. We were in the game room late Sunday night and couldn't find them. Any info about them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm really confused as to whether or not you have accepted applicants for the gallery or not yet? Should I assume that because I have not received any email notification about it that I have just not been chosen? Thank you!

email art gallery and they should be able to get back to you.

I didn't think of the possibility that it'd need to be changed easily.

I never understood people to want the information provided to them to be correct....go figure... =D

Thanks, Eric, for enabling downloads of the pocket guide.

I didn't do anything. I'm just a messenger:)

Weird, I don't see any download instructions (Had to refresh my browser). Downloading IS enabled now, which is great, but you have to create an account to do it, which kinda sucks. I hate giving my email out to random sites :(

Do they have publishing rights that restrict you from hosting pdfs on the regular website? Just a curiosity, not a criticism.

Sorry, it was something about consistency and a single platform. It makes sense if updates need to be pushed out during con.....it would suck to update the pdf each time.

Did they actuall scan that upside down??

That is how it is in the pocket guide. One half Clockwork Alchemy, the other half Fanime. The Fanime programming pages are upside down in relation to the Clockwork Alchemy pages. This is so that reading from either the "front" or the "back" it is a normal book.

Hotel and Facilities / Re: Stocking up on food in your room?

For the record: "I can't recommend using" those things is my way of saying "absolutely do not use these." (And "my way of saying" = extreme understatement with a heavy dose of snark, but I realize that might not come across on the internet and that it might be taken as a list of suggestions. Though, I have no idea why someone would bring a waffle iron in the first place. ;])

That's an obvious answer...WAFFLES! =D

yah, some people only read the words they want to read. So they miss all the qualifiers and the warnings... *sigh*

@ewu But you cut out the rest of the quote lol.  Nina said they don't recommend using those things.  See?  Common sense! :)

*sigh* you know my intentions:P Just gotta make sure it is clear. Common sense is not as common as you think!.....

Hi guys.... Please be safe and do not violate any hotel rules. Not only is your deposit at risk, but you risk being ejected from your room and jeopardize the safety of you and the guests around you/in the hotel.

Please also keep in mind that hotel representatives and housing coordinators regularly check the threads to answer questions.

Thanks

I do wish that when threads were moved or split, there was something to alert the people in them, though.

By default, the forums system posts a redirection topic, but sometimes the mod will opt not use that option.
