My photos are right here on Picasa. They were taken with my dinky point and shoot but some aren't too terrible. :P My friend will be posting (or I will) a sweet video and some much better pictures soon!

I've actually been keeping an eye on flickr for photos. You just have to search fanime 2011 in quotes and a ton pop up. Already found a picture of a group I was in. I just arrange it by most recent and I just check it every 8 hours or so.

I was Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII and most of the time I was accompanied by a Sazh also from FFXIII. I only had that one outfit since it was my first con! On Saturday I was with a few other characters from the game. Please pm me if you have pics! You can view all the ones I took here:

I know I have a picture of me fighting Fox McCloud on Friday.

I had the black headwrap as Snow, not the blue knit beanie. I will be also uploading more pictures later. Thanks and enjoy!

-=Roommates Wanted=-

Hello, my name is Justin and I have some spaces available for ones who have a DPA. If you don't know what that is or are unfamiliar with the term then I have to apologize and ask you to move along.

Myself along with some good friends of mine have a place available only about 2 miles away from the con and that is situated across the street from a Lightrail station. The convention center is only about 2 stops away. Because of the nature of the place we're staying I can't give out details but it's a very nice place and because of at least one of my friends due to financial circumstances leading to him not being able to attend we have room for more. The price cannot be beat either! If you PM me I will give you all the information regarding the place where we are staying, after confirmation of your DPA and other information of course.

Price per night: $35-$45 (Maybe even less depending on how many people there are.)

We have room for up to 2-3 more people. (Maybe more, we'll see!)

Check or cash is fine to pay with on arrival or we can work something else out, we're all reasonable! :)

Males only, sorry. We don't want to take any chances with improper conduct with a mixed gender enviroment, that's a no brainer I know. XD

Please, if you know what a DPA is or you have a friend that needs a place to stay that has one feel free to send me a PM through the forums and I'll be sure to get back to you. It would be a relief to find other like-minded ones that are attending this event and all of us are trustworthy friends. If this sounds skeptical, which I very much believe it does I hope I would be able to put things at ease if we talked over the phone or such to confirm things. Like I said, send me a PM if you have a DPA, even if you don't need a place to stay it would be neat to know others that will be attending. We'd love to meet another group that's going! And I hope we won't need to use our DPA's down there! How scary would that be? O.o

Little bit more about myself: I've spent time volunteering back in Brooklyn, NY (Wanted to go to Patterson, already had a friend there. XD) for a period of 7 months (Got invited to stay for 3 months, got extended and then stayed for another month due to my leave date originally being near the end of December.)  and have been back home here in CA for a little over a year. I still talk with ones serving back there often and I know friends all over the states and even ones serving in foreign lands now thanks to the wonderful experience I had back there. I hope that we'll be able to help a fellow friend find a place to stay down there, please don't hesitate to contact me, I'll be sure to be prompt in replying! And isn't it also good news that this convention center will be used for conventions this year? :D

And to all those who have no idea what this was about, I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you, but I hope you'll be able to find a room and make it to this event!

Gaming / Little BIG Planet 2!
January 27, 2011, 05:01:12 PM
Any other Sackboy fans want to game? My collector's edition came in yesterday and I love it! For me the biggest reason I got a PS3 was to play Little Big Planet, the game is made up of 100% pure awesome. My PSN name is Sherbertine so add me if you want to play! My PS3 has a custom firmware on it right now however, and Sony has released a new update 3.56. I can access the PS Store and such by bypassing the firmware check using an alternate DNS. I should still be able to play online, at least for the time being.

Gaming / What MMO's are you looking forward to?
January 21, 2011, 12:56:43 AM
Hey everyone, been keeping my eyes open for a good new MMO. I've been playing a lot of Vindictus and I love it, but I would like to hop into a more traditional one as well as Vindictus for me is hard to really sink my teeth into. It just lacks on having a lot of things to do, but what you can do is amazing, hands down the best MMO gameplay I've tried. The MMO's I'm looking forward to so far are TERA, Rift, Guild Wars 2, and the one I'm 99% sure I'll play: KOTOR Online.

TERA is absolutely gorgeous and the combat looks a bit more exciting than your traditional MMO, and a supposed release date of Q2 this year. Rift is coming out in little over a month and I've heard it's very good. Didn't catch my eye until recently since it does follow a more traditional MMO style, kinda looking for something a bit more fresh. Guild Wars 2 seems like it will be very good, love how more MMOs are leaning towards action hack'n'slash combat, makes it seems like you're actually having to do something besides hotkeying Arcane Blast to your entire keyboard and literally /faceroll'ing for DPS. But no release date announced yet. :( And then KOTOR, good 'ol KOTOR. Loved the singple player games and always wished they could've been multiplayer. I thought it was going to be a dream never to be lived. And now here comes Bioware! :D I REALLY REALLY hope they can pull it off. No actual release date on this one either, but crossing my fingers for having it within a year. A lot of my excitement for KOTOR also comes from the fact that I know a lot of my friends will want to play it as well, since they like Star Wars but have never been big MMO fans like myself.

Anyways, what MMOs are you excited for and why? I would love to start a guild and have some people with similar interests to talk with while playing! And if you're playing Vindictus look me up on Ch.99, I main a lv.44 Fiona named Milevi and I'm in the guild Grand Pulse.

Alright thanks for the quick response. I started GOSICK from Victorique and it's in 720p so the video quality is pretty good. The subs are not bad at all either. Going to look into Fractal now as well.

General Anime Chat / Re: SUMMER WARS
January 19, 2011, 11:44:05 PM
Summer Wars and The Girl Who Lept Through Time are two of my favorite anime movies. I love the art style! I watched Summer Wars with english subs in 1080p and it's very beautiful! Summer Wars has a bit more action, while GWLTT touches the heart just a tad more. Neither is better than the other in my opinion though! :D I would love to see more movies from Hosoda Mamoru!

Out of all of these, I'm really only interested in Fractal and GOSICK, can anyone recommend a fansub group for them? Anidb says that Victorique, Hatsuyuki-suki, and Tsuki are doing GOSICK in english while GarSubs and HorribleSubs are doing Fractal. Just wanted some input before I started watching, thanks!

I was looking at Flickr for some Fanime con pics and found one of you Jerry! Well, 99% sure it's you. :P Unless you have a twin! :O

Whoo for SC2! And I believe you meant suggestions for RTS games, not FPS. ;) And Total Annihilation?! I love that game! Used to play that a ton back in the glory days of Windows 98! I wish I could vote for it too!

Gaming / Re: Ragnarok Online! EPIC

Haha wasted away a ton of my life playing RO, good times. XD I started playing right before the 2-2 classes were introduced, so there wasn't even Crusaders, Champions, etc. I always mained a Crusader/Paladin though. Used to play on XeRO, then ProjectRO, and the last one I played on regularly was PCRO. I think my greatest accomplishments in that game was taking down MVPs with just my brother as a priest healing me, actually getting a moonlight flower card drop, and doing the entire in-game quest to get the mighty Tyrfing! I loved that sword, 200 ATT one hander with shadow element. (And it sucked away HP constantly and I'd sit in Prontera dead and people were like WTF?!) :D I never did get to be a 99 Pally though. T.T I always played on low rate servers, like 3/3/5s and stuff.

Gaming / Re: Starcraft 2?

Haha, I've been playing a bit more and playing a lot with my friends. I've been concentrating on mainly stopping the cheesy all-ins and going into a later macro game. Since a lot of the players out there win most of there games using all-ins if I can defend against them well and hold out I can usually beat them since I have more experience in games like that. Besides, they're called all-ins for a reason, if you defend against it then it's game over for the other player. And so far it's been working not too bad, still having trouble against a very crazy 4 roach early push but I have some tricks up my sleeve if I manage to scout the Zerg soon enough. I've actually been doing a heavy Zealot+Sentry combo and using force fields and I can totally shut down a large MM ball and any tier 1 zerg pushes. Then if that doesn't finish them off I go into an expansion and play the game from there and it works surprisingly well, it's gotten really easy to trap people with force fields since a lot of protoss goes mass stalkers, they don't expect it since MM's and Roaches completely shut down zealots since they don't have range.

I've been looking around a bit for costumes and ideas, I'm going to be going as Snow Villiers from FFXIII and I found one of these pre-made cosplay outfits:

http://www.cosplaymagic.com/fifaxi13snvi.html

And I'm looking at it and the arm strap thing I would remake, and maybe wear different pants, but where would I ever find that coat or the inner blue garment or even those gloves? I would have to make them, and me being a guy who's never sewed before would this be worthwhile into looking into? I want to make my own outfit, but with something like this, it's a little different. Like I may help a friend do a Mass Effect 2 N7 armor, something like that of course has to be made, but requires little to no sewing or even messing with actual fabric. It's just a lot of foam and perhaps fiberglass and bondo, stuff I know how to work with. Anyways, there's a Sazh costume on there as well that my friend is going to be cosplaying as. What do many of you recommend seeing as a lot of you have done this before?

I have pre registered a group and then realized that all of the money would be coming out of my personal account all at once (I know, I should have realized this sooner. >.<) it's only 5 people but will my pre registered group become invalid if I do not pay by the 12th, like would I have to re-register? Or will my registration stay open since I actually 'registered' before the 12th and I can pay later? I should be able to get the money soon enough, but it's more of a curiosity question and it would be nice to know ahead of time in case I can't get the money together for some reason. Thanks!

Thanks! There was a link to the subtitle files that were used in the list too! I heard it ends really lame, but I have to see it! O.O

Interesting article here, but.... yeshadette21, you created an account on these forums to post on a thread that's over 2 years old? XD

Gaming / Re: Psn?
October 25, 2010, 06:41:25 PM
Sherbertine is my PSN, but I only have Little Big Planet, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and Wipeout HD as my multiplayer games. XD Not a big PS3 user, but I hop on every once in a while for some LBP, it's practically the only reason I got the system. And I'll definitely be on there more for LBP2. :D I only have Valkyrie Chronicles and FFXIII as my single player games, lol. I've been meaning to get both the Uncharted games, just waiting for a sale, and Heavenly Sword as well. Any other good games worth checking out that are PS3 only/better on PS3 than 360? If it's available on the PC I will always choose PC however, I just love the power of PC gaming! :D
