Big Event Showcase / Fanimaid☆Café 2018 Auditions~
January 04, 2018, 10:48:13 PM
Ever been interested in working at a maid cafe?! Join one of the best (and cutest!) in the west coast for FanimeCon 2018
Click the flyer below for our Facebook events, and keep scrolling if you'd like to know more about becoming part of our maid family.

What kind of girls are we looking for?
Well, while we're fairly easy-going and open about the girls we invite into the Fanimaid Cafe family, we do have a few things we look for! But don't be shy! We don't bite. (This is a family friendly volunteer gig, and being a maid is completely NON-SEXUAL.)

1. You love anime/manga/games and have an interest in maid cafes, moe-kei, and Akiba culture!
2. You want to learn how to be a maid, dress up in a cute maid uniform, and meet people!
3. You're willing to sit with patrons and partake in fun conversations and games
4. You're willing to dedicate at least 4+ hours per day on Saturday and Sunday for cafe shifts. *We stress that volunteering with us will require a big time commitment out of your weekend so please bear this is mind.*
5. You're willing to be on a team with a bunch of cute maids and give it your all to make Fanimaid Cafe 2018 as awesome as ever!!!

Note: When you become a volunteer at FanimeCon and work the required shifts at Fanimaid Cafe, you may be reimbursed for a full-weekend or day badge! But you still need to purchase your registration first, and ask about volunteering by contacting the volunteering department, or upon pick-up.

Here's the full tryouts process

We can't wait to meet you soon. Let us know in the comments what you're most looking forward to in Fanime 2018!
For us, it's having our goshujin-sama and ojou-sama come home ❤

お帰りなさいませ、御主人様

Fanime is in less than a week and Fanimaid Cafe is excited to announce many new things!!

♥ For the first time ever, we are hosting an exclusive VIP Event!
Held on Saturday, May 23 at 6:30 pm, Fanimaid Cafe's VIP Event is a special, reservation-only event. Our valued goshujinsama will have a chance to enjoy Fanimaid Cafe in its most jam packed, moé-filled form: exclusive live in-cafe performances, special group and table games, and an extended photo op with the maids.. and YOU can win tickets to go! Just come to Stage Zero and participate in a fierce competition of JanKenPon (Rock, Paper, Scissors) against other goshujinsama and ojousama.

There will be 2 opportunities to win tickets on Stage Zero:
Fanime's Opening Ceremony on Friday, May 22 at 2 pm
OR Fanimaid☆LIVE on Saturday, May 23 at 1 pm.

♥ In addition, we are making changes to our line queue system.
To better accommodate patrons trying to fit Fanimaid Cafe into their busy con schedule, we are pleased to introduce to you:
The Shinkansen Ticket system!
Shinkansen Tickets are good for entry for a party of up to 4 patrons into the Fanimaid Cafe. Patrons are to return to the Fanimaid Cafe for entry during the times indicated on their Shinkansen Ticket. Tickets returned outside of this time frame will not be honored. When patrons arrive and surrender their Shinkansen Ticket, they will be admitted into the Fanimaid Cafe, bypassing the general admission line. A name and size of party is required for Ticket distribution.

Distribution of these tickets will begin at 10:30am Saturday and Sunday. When looking at the Cafe entrance, the Shinkansen distribution line will begin on the left side along the wall, towards the entrance of the hotel; the general admission line will be on the right side, away from the entrance of the hotel. These tickets are limited in quantity and once they run out in the morning, they will no longer be offered.

*Note: Shinkansen Tickets are transferable. Max party of 4. Shinkansen Tickets are NOT for resale.
**If your party requires special accommodation due to medical necessity, please see the maids at the entrance upon your arrival.

♥ Last but not least, we are bringing back out polaroid giveaway!
We hope you enjoyed this event last year, because it's back again! Just like last year, the first 50 parties on both Saturday and Sunday will receive a souvenir cheki to take home! They will be able to take a Polaroid with their maid and decorate it before leaving the cafe.

We hope to see you there, and thank you for all of your support!

Would you like Feedback in this thread exclusively or to email you guys? I am not sure yet if we're doing a general feedback form for fans like they did last year.
Edit:
The feedback form is live!
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1KWd8mRnZOR7uirdeQNC2EkmoYwBcG_-8Ir6FmmUKtb0/viewform

We would prefer all feedback be channeled through there but if people want to leave posts on the forum, that is perfectly fine as well!

Hi everybody, I'm sorry for the lack of updates. E-mails sent to the [email protected] may take a while to get answered ^^;

However, I do have some official announcements to make.
The launch for the online application is now live!
http://tinyurl.com/FanimaidCafeApp2014

As of now, it is too time constrictive to schedule Skype try-outs, but there will always be the possibility of a Skype follow-up interview.
For those of you who are still interested in trying out but were not able to make it to the in-person try-outs, you are now able to fill out the online application. Do your best! :)

Just an announcement, there is another try-out date announced. On Sunday, there will be a try-out held in L.A's Little Tokyo! It's a bit last minute, but I do hope you see some of you ladies there ♥
As of now, the time and exact meeting spot is TBA but check back Wednesday and it'll be up by then!

I'm so glad to hear there will be a try out in LA! I recently moved from the bay area to LA and I was just contemplating whether it's worth it to go down for spring break just to try out for the maid cafe since my family is going to be out of town that whole week. Now I don't have to decide, yay!
Awesome timing! I don't think we'll be able to host them again the the south bay next year, sadly :( The only reason we're able to host a try-out in L.A this year is due to a string of chance as well. I look forward to meeting you at the try-out (●´ω`●)ゞ

Good luck everybody~!

Hi!
If you check the official Fanimaid Cafe facebook fan page (which just launched! Feel free to 'like it' ;) ), we have just announced that the first try-out will be this sunday at the SJCC. Don't worry though! There will be more future try-outs at later dates and in other regions, such as San Francisco, Davis, and Sacramento.
There will be a Fanimaid Cafe 2014 informational thread up Wednesday night with with all the official try-out dates and general info in regards to auditions.
I apologize for the delay in announcements, and I thank everybody for the patience in this matter. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello!

Just to verify, the SJ Maid tryout will be on March 9th at 1:00pm right? Would you mind clarifying the location more? Should we enter through the convention center or through the Marriott hotel?

Thanks!
Enter from the Marriot. The meeting is on the second floor. There should also be a sign (if I remember from last year..). You'll see a bunch of girls gathered in the lobby-ish zone to the left of the elevators (upstairs)

I feel awks doing a combo break on the conversation since I'm about to write up my review :c

Well, as I'm sure everybody has gathered from reading the other girls' experiences, I'd really like to emphasize that being a Fanimaid is like no other! I've waited since the 6th grade to turn 16 to go in for an interview. When I got accepted.. well, here's a screenshot of my reaction. I've been 200% in love with maid culture and it was deff a dream come true.. To a lot of girls (myself included), it gives you the feeling of being a mini idol! There's both actually performing as well as just working hard for your goshujin-sama.
You really DON'T know what to expect when you first start out, but trust me, becoming a meido will be so much more than you can imagine. What you really get is a family of girls who will support each other non-stop. The fuwafuwa frills are just cherries and icing to the cake~ (WHY AM I SO CLICHE)

so sweet we'll give you cavities (♥ó㉨ò)ノ♡!!

---
P.S: I also recommend bodyline! Shipping is $10 but it can always be split~ Be wary of eBay uniforms! You might end up getting a satin uniform @_@.. If you have experience, you can give taobao a shot too.
