Things in the Universe / Any good anime podcasts?
April 28, 2009, 08:02:00 PM
Lately I've been getting into listening to podcasts (and doing one of my own), but mostly RPG-related stuff (2d6 Feet in a Random Direction, Canon Puncture, Have Games Will Travel, etc.). Can anyone recommend some good anime-related podcasts?

Live Programming and Events / 2009 Tabletop Gaming?
April 06, 2009, 02:18:30 PM
I may not be looking hard enough, but I haven't really seen anything as to what's going on with tabletop gaming this year, apart from a small nod on the Events page to its existence.

For my part I'd be up for most anything RPG-related, and I could run Maid RPG, amongst others.

Incredible Stuff I can Make / I Make RPGs
November 01, 2007, 10:35:33 AM
Does anyone else here design tabletop RPGs?

I'm that nerdy, and I'm working on several, some of which could use feedback:

  • Thrash: A fighting-game style martial arts RPG. Currently working on the much-improved but still very new and raw second edition.
  • Mascot-tan: A silly little game about anime mascot girls, like the OS-tans, Habanero-tan, Di Gi Charat, etc.
  • Raspberry Heaven: Still in the early stages of development, but it's a GM-less game about slice of life high school girl stories like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star.
  • Tokyo Heroes: I'm working on some revisions to the test rules right now, but it's meant to be a sentai/Power Rangers/magical girl RPG.
  • Catgirl: The Storytelling Game: I'm still barely getting started, but this is meant to be a semi tongue in cheek parody of White Wolf games, about catgirls with magical powers.

So Anime Palace, one of the cooler Dealers Room vendors has opened up a local store... The only thing is that it's at a really crappy location that you have exactly zero chance of seeing from the street.

For my part I'd like to see this store not completely die, hence the post. They carry a really incredible selection of gashapon and other figures, plus trading cards, doujins, plushies, and about a million other things. Personally I spent about $140 there for Christmas shopping (the good and bad of having so many anime fans on my list).

Their website has directions, and if you want to take VTA it's right off of the 55 bus (which in turn connects with the 25, which in turn connects with Light Rail at Tamien station, though there are undoubtedly other ways to get to it).

nyo~
