Moving to San Diego. Real life beckons, unfortunately. Comic Con and AX will be my new staples. Still, it won't be the same.

Yeah well...I'll go at least once to AX. I've been to Comic Con before and that was a blast, but yeah, so big it's almost alienating.

I may venture back for Fanime, but I don't know because it seems to be shifting more towards a music guest focus. I'm not blaming guest services or anything, you get who you can... and securing FLOW and Yuya, not to mention Yoshiki's last minute arrival is certainly nothing to scoff at. However, since concerts aren't really my thing the guest list is looking more and more familiar each year. I really enjoyed having the Aksys developers last year and the Gurren Lagaan team before that (the Yamaga party that year was amazing) but this year none of the non-musical guests really jump out at me.

Again, I'm not blaming anyone, it's just personal preference.

Still, I'll be hanging around the board to help answer questions and such as I have for the last 4-5 years.

My haul this year = "pronographic figures", as quoted by my mother.

I spent about $20-25 on food. Artist Alley I spent about $35 or so.

I SPENT NOTHING AT THE DEALERS ROOM. Nothing caught my eye. The only figs I want are on preorder already so any released figs there were meh to me. I am amazed at myself for not impulse buying. It was basically stuff I've already seen...

This is the least amount of money I spent at a Fanime yet. Basically all the stuff I sold at swap meet paid for my entire weekend (and then some).
