Almost didn't make it to SJ on Sunday. Had a couple of car problems. The low coolant light came on and my friend and I prayed that the engine doesn't give out until we got to a gas station. After buying some coolant and adding it in, the light persisted on mocking us all the way down to SJ but the worst part was having a blown tire right as we got onto I-80. I made a quick change and looked up all nearby tire stores. We took a detour to Woodland and bought two tires after looking at four other stores that were closed on Sundays. We bought two because one other wheel was ready to blow out too. However, we made it to Sj and back with our lives and with the car still functional, so that's a happy ending in my book. Total expense on this one day trip: $375, including all food, gas, toll, and parking payments.
