Well alot of it was my fault really cause I choose to wear a shirt under the hakuma?sp but.... still it was pretty swealtering @__@ I wish I could handle the heat better. To me it will take alot to make AX more enjoyable then Fanime just cause of the location. It's hard to beat the Fanime con area imo and if the weather continues to be decent like it has the last few years Fanime will just be more enjoyable almost every time.

... my Shinpachi was more a dry run to though. I still wish I could put it on myself and I still need sandels and possibly a wig.

XD ahh well good thing in my case I don't care much for panels in the first place. And it helped that the AA was in a windowless room instead of that damn sunny hallway it was last year, that place was pretty brutal.

GAH. I just realized. JUST HOW AIRY IS MY KYUUBEI COSPLAY GONNA BE??? DDx Cuz it looks like he wears a lot of layers in the anime. . . Not to mention, he wears KNEE-HIGH TABI SOCKS. D: (where the hell I'm gonna find knee-high tabi socks, even I don't know. . .)

Yeah, totally unrelated to the D.Gray gathering xP But, yes, Chapter 159 Allen is nearly completely assembled, ordering both wigs (Allen and Kyuubei) off of Cosworx currently. . . Doesn't look like Halibel's gonna be in store this year. V.V

Lol, I never use a wig cap xD; (PHAIL) I don't have that much hair for a girl (good aspects of short hair) so I just stuff it all into a hair net and put the wig on over that xD Dunno how it works for guys, though, so don't listen to me. xD;

LOL well he should he should! I might do him anyway since you'd like to see it and that often mentioned vacationing friend (who I actually talked to a few days prior to AX) really likes the character x3 (and Mayuri, we both like the evil scientist type I suppose). Besides I could always just pull him back out in 10' if you don't happen to get the costume till that year. I just need to see what my current cosplays are before I commit to anything else really @___@;;

I'll ask my friend Yoshiko once she gets on MSN since she has some experince with hair caps and all that. They were extermely cheap when I looked on cosworxs though, which is very excellent news of course.

Yeah, weren't they like. . . $1.65 each or something for the natural-colored ones? LOL I just got a hair net with my wig, so I just thought, 'Eh, whatever, it's what they gave me, so it must work.' xDD; But now my real problem is that I can't seem to get the make-up out of my Allen one. . . it's still stained from the Akuma star (my bangs kept getting in my face, but when I brushed them away, they rubbed up against my make-up @_@). So now Allen has a pink streak on his left side xD;

... I have to use wig caps.  Too much hair and too thick and obnoxious to stay put otherwise -- even with the wig cap, it feels like it's trying to run away on me half the time.  I need to pick some more white ones up to dye, though ... someday.

Fanime is turning into toomuchtowearcon for me -- it'll be especially bad if all of my family comes down (they're talking about Fanime over AX next year, since they can really only all make one Cali con).  If they do, D.Gray will be much more likely for me, though, since Kaasan does Cross and my punk-arse big brother cosplays Tyki, and I'm sure they'll insist I cos it with them -- especially if the brother's there.

At least with Miranda I don't need a wig, just to pull all my hair up in a bun.  AND HOPE IT STAYS. T_T

Don't worry, Charis, even hell-hair will eventually be tamed * 0 * Lol, you can't get much worse than my aunt (who is very. . . abusive, to say the least, to her hair)

Actually for the most part I really love the Gintama cast (offtopic).

My hair isn't espically long per say I just want to be absolutely sure the cosplay turns out well, and besides the wig caps are so cheap so it's not like it's a huge cost burden to order them.

I REFUSE to wear a wig, aside from being horribly uncomfortable, their..creepy.

I am getting annoyed with my hair though. No matter how much blue I add to it just gets completely adsorbed by the black!

I don't even want it BLUE just barley tinted blue but nooooo. >_<

I was trying to avoid wigs expect for cosplays I'd obvious need them (Cross comes to mind as a good example) but I'm probably just going to avoid hair dye and use wigs for all cosplays I need them for. That way I won't have to worry about my natural hair length before the con as well. I always had that worry beforehand about timing my hair cut right and with wigs I wouldn't have to.

I was mainly concerned about the comfort level and cost xD;; But it should be okay I imagine. I was probably only going to do it for Kyoya cosplay anyway (from Ouran). Err hair dye that is.
